The Eregion map looks really beautiful, but I noticed that there were a lot of creep lairs.

Lovin' all these new maps guys. :p I had actually played that Angmar one some time ago...can't remember when, but I'm glad that it's gonna be featured. Eregion looks absolutely amazing, and pretty well balanced from my quick glance at it. Congratulations to the mappers.

Lex says Eregion is balanced for all players. At least it was until I switched two of the creeps for MF plots :p

Actually I agree with snoopy here. Angmar was situated in the north, so...but you guys knew that already.

Edit: is it possible to make it so that it's snowing in the map like in B4ME II? 'Cause I didn't see anything like that in the first one...actually, there weren't any snowy maps to begin with, were there?

Great stuff - as usual. Good to see that the map department is heading up so fast.
Good point with the snow in Angmar. The Angmar area in Lord of the Rings online looks like Mordor and I always felt there was something wrong with it.
But you guys know what we're really longing for... (Updaaaateeee :p ... and 5 of them if possible  )

No there wasn't, and I don't think RA plans to add any snow effects for this mod. But yeah a bit of snow terrain to the north would be quite nice.
I will remember Rhovanion Alliance, RIP .

We do have several snowy environment maps, but I don't think we are adding snowflakes falling...

Just out of interest, would it be possible?

you don't need to code snow effec ts into the whoole game.just use the map.ini, 20min work and you have beautiful snow falling down from the sky, or rain etc.

indeed, it's very easy to add snow via INI coding, and map.ini can handle it in a breeze.

Yes, but doesn't map.ini's screw up the next game you play? Forcing you to restart BFME?

That'd be entirely new to me :p

EA relied on map.ini for its campaign, so it's safe to assume the system works quite well

Well I've had spellbook problems with some maps. ie. they change the spellbook through a map.ini, then the next map I play has a screwed up spellbook.

The campaign ini's may carry over too, but afaik they make less obvious changes, such as unit stats, priorities etc.

Spellbook and unit\commandset changes in INI do effect next games, but changes such as weather, and fog are only for the current map and it doesn't effect the next one.
