Odd little thing I've got here. Here's the situation:

I've added a number of heroes to the Good Campaign, but it has recently been brought to my attention that Haldir (who was added at level 4 in Helm's Deep and continues on with the Rohan army) does not increase his damage output as he levels up. The damage display text shows the proper stuff, but he just doesn't do said damage. In Skirmish mode, however, he works perfectly fine. He may also not be getting the proper hit point bonuses as well, but haven't been able to test this. A also haven't had a chance to check the other new heroes for this same problem. Faramir, who's coding Haldir's is largely based off, works fine in the campaign.

Does this ring a bell for anyone? It's completely beyond me why this is going on.

well, I haven't acctually noticed this... but then again, I didn't really pay much attention to Haldir :p

maybe you should take a look on Theoden's campaing-thingies.... cause he starts at level 4 too, don't he?

As an update: Other new heroes have been tested and all work fine.

The problem with your suggestion for Theoden is that there isn't really any specific campaign coding for him, is there? However, I'm going to look into how I leveled up Haldir via scripts... I'm seeming to remember having to do it differently because of his late entrance.

How did you level him up to level 4? Through the ini files or through the map scripting?

Map scripting. I can't recall if I granted him specific levels (as was done with Theoden and co.) or if I gave him the appropriate number of experience points.

I looked at the map and you did exactly the same thing you need to Theoden and co. Therefore there must be a problem within the campaign ini, but I cant see what could be wrong. Strange indeed

maybe theoden is somehow hardcoded, and giving haldir the right amount of experience points would work
