Hey everyone,

It is with great pride that I announce to you that after a lot of hard work, we are ready to reveal the brand new The3rdAge site.

After having been in the works for about 8 months, The3rdAge v.2 finally arrives.
First and foremost, credits :
  • 2playgames : he's the man behind all the coding. He started the site from scratch. He has spent countless nights fixing bugs and working on new features. He cannot be thanked enough.
  • TheDeadPlayer : he has worked in collaboration with 2playgames to design the site. He created a new layout, with a color scheme based on BfME 1.
  • Hostile : for having originally built T3A. We would be nowhere without the hard work he's put into getting this place to rise from the ground.
  • Chamber Members : for having bugtested the site all along, and having suggested many an improvement.
  • EALA : hate 'em or love 'em, but we wouldn't be here without them. They brought the BfME series to us, and for that we are thankful.
  • Mastermind : for providing T3A with a bit of space on the internet, for his work on the server when we were developing the site, and for coding the link between your Revora account and the T3A site.
  • T3A Staffers : for filling in the site with content, as well as helping me keep this place up. You guys rock :p
The new site is a complete revolution from the old one. It's not simply a showcase of tutorials next to one another. It's alive. Alive as in Web 2.0. The content is entirely dynamic, and it can only live as long as you contribute to it by sharing tips with us. Write articles, submit files, advertise your mods ...

So far, the content on the site is pretty scarce, but we count on you to help us fill it with contents. You can help yourself to the contents on the old site and the User Submitted tutorials, as long as you credit the original author. Failing to do so will result in a reduction of your points.

I could be going on for ages and describe all the nifty features, but it's probably best that you find out for yourself. Should you find some bugs, please report them to : webmaster@the3rdage.net

On another note, and still with the aim to put hostees at the center of this community, we have made our pick for the Mod Manager Position. adummy is the one that will be in charge of keeping you up to date with mods' news.
If you are hosted here, and want to get your news on the T3A frontpage, provide him with news by posting in this forum (project+).

Now that's quite some here. I'd like to reiterate my thanks to everyone who's been involved in this, and to you for being a part of T3A.

cheers *pops a bottle of champagne open*
ched for the entire T3A staff.
Software is like sex; it's better when it's free ~Linus Torvald

Special thanks to Mastermind for understanding server downtime and fixing things that needed to be fixed. Not all errors can be predicted, but fixing them in a timely basis is a skill that is not unlike an unsong hero.

Let's not forget the Mastermind, the man behind the curtain. Thank you sir for making things happen. Despite the downtime, I consider this a successful launch. ~Hostile

I still wonder what caused the downtime, or if it was even related. :p

This probably explains why adummy sent me a MSN message at 2 o'clock in the morning with a link to here :p

I thought he was just drunk or something :)

I'll check it out, and post my thoughts later.

Playing games? Ah, you'll never be a good modder if you get involved in actually playing them!

A staff rating of 7 or higher will gain you additional points. Apart from indicating the amount of work you have contributed to our site, these points are in direct relation to the space available to you. 10 MB is the equivalent of 10240 points. 15 MB the equivalent of 15360 points.

I think that's the old IE that can't handle PNG transparency correctly. Get IE 7 or some other browser.
