Despite the belief, WotE is NOT dead. It's just that Kyross (the current Mod Leader) doesn't have much time for modding (college, duh !), and neither do I (I have to work hard in a shop and meanwhile get ready for university). However, Kyross told me that he and Annullus continued working, and got much programming and coding almost or half-done. Not much work done on the new units/heroes so far, but we'll work things out eventually.

Actually, I just consulted with Kyross and we both think that we're going to release Beta 3.9 (or 3.4, call it whatever between 3.3-4.0 ;) ) around Christmas. It will contain Elendil's re-designed heroes, Egalmoth's portraits for the old units and all the bugfixes/balancing Kyross and Annullus made so far.

Stay tuned ;)

"Well, I can't argue with that - modding IS hard. But what would have become of games like Starcraft, Warcraft 3, Dungeon Siege, Half-Life 1-2, Neverwinter Nights and BfME 1-2 if we, modders, weren't there ? They would have long been forgotten. Modding is hard, but it's an honorable thing." - MorrisB

Speaking of Elendil's redesigned heroes, did he run off without giving us the sourcecode?
I think he did.
Posted Image <-- Actually more like coder/mapper/modeller, but there's no bar for that.

I was afraid of the gone of WOTE. And it's so good to know that it's not dead! :grin:
How many members in the team now? :good: I'm not going to leave ths mod anyway. ^_^

Well, since Guess Who and Elendil have left I guess we are a team of 4 now (plus-minus those who show up sometimes, like Grizzlez), counting Kyross, Annullus The Grey, Egalmoth and myself. If we could get a reliable skinner/modeler or two it would hasten up things... actually, we are recruiting again just right now:

http://forums.revora...showtopic=66871

By the way, I just had a very weird dream about WotE. Guess I was playing too much WotE AND CnC Generals, cos' I've dreamt about a clash between MotW/USA and Evil Men/GLA. Dunedain Rangers were paradropped from planes, Gondor Knights charged at tanks (and were winning !), but then Easterlings drove them back, then the Rohirrim counter-attacked , but then Saruman and Pallando summoned a tornado together, but during this a small commando team sneaked up to the Evil Men/GLA base and a Gondor Trebuchet hurled a nuclear bomb (!!!) at the enemy Fortress, and while the explosion set off, the game came to an end, claiming that I was victorius :good:

Guess I should play with only ONE game at a time...

I'm literally crippled with work and my final year of school to mod at the moment. I have my first exams in January and then it cools down for a couple of months before it starts again for summer exams. Maybe after January I'll try to find some time to come back, but at the moment I have totally stopped work on all the mods/projects i'm involved with.

@Annullus: I guess a nuclear weapon is weirder :p

@Grizzlez: I can't help but agree with Xno. Although I miss your skills, school is more important ;)

Hello, and thanks for reminding us that the mod still lives :wink_new: I don't have really time now, but if you can use one more team member next summer, I'd perhaps join in :lol:

I fixed the problem I had earlier when I signed up for a mapper, but I think I'd like to do something else rather... But we will see more about this in the summer.
