insert correct DVD while having the images mounted

Best Answer Zorakun, 04 March 2015 - 03:05 PM

Okay I found the solution

the problem was the new version of DAEMON Tools

I found the older version and I re-uploaded it for those who are facing this problem

Download Link1 (mega.co.nz)

Download Link2 (MediaFire)

Steps:

1. Uninstall the new version of DAEMON Tools Lite.

2. Install the one above (reboot is required).

3. Mount the mini-images again.

4. Have fun!

if anyone knows the admin of forshire, tell him to put this in the FAQ

and I know there are a lot of The3rdAge admins here, you might wanna add this there too

thank you guys for your time :)

peace.

so...as the title says...

I have the mini-images mounted, ran the patchswitcher, clicked the 1.08, when I try to play, it says insert the correct DVD

and if I use a cracked game.dat, it works just fine, but then I can't play online due to mismatch detection...

I'm using the special edition from forshire site

Hi,

try

Go to the tBfME2 installation folder (right click the shortcut --> open file location, or go to [C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Battle for Middle-earth™ II]) Right click lotrbfme2.exe, Properties -> compatibility -> Change Settings for all users -> tick out the compatibility mode.

Then try to set compatibility mode and run as admin as well if it doesn't work.

Shouldn't be a problem...

Are you sure you are using the right mini image?

Also make sure you are not mounting several ones to be sure :p

Ghehe... Well then your CD Mounting options might not be enabled or such, go to the advanced options of Daemon and enable those :p (can't tell you exactly where (because i'm not at home), but it shouldn't be too hard to find)

Interesting,I wonder why the new version does not work. Thanks for sharing your solution.

the Advanced Emulation option does not exist in the newest one

and it doesn't install the SCSI driver...which is like...you're doing nothing when mounting an image because the driver is not installed.

no problem, I am an admin on a forum, I know how these things are ;)

The new version does not sound like an upgrade then ;)

ok, here's the new issue. I've faced the same trouble with INSERT DVD. I have the new version of daemon tools. I downloaded and installed the old one and you know what? I have compatibility issues with the new one. My windows 8 doesnt seem to work well with the old DT. It doesnt activate the ADVANCED EMULATION option. Actually it does and offers me to reboot the pc. I do, but after that i always face the fact that the option didnt get activated. I've done that several times. It doesnt seem to work. Any ideas guys?

There is a video I've linked in a topic right next to this topic in this subforum, maybe it helps you?
