[Assault_Rains]

Hello fellow C&C players,

 

I upgraded to Windows 10 recently and now my Kanes Wrath doesn't work anymore. When I try to launch the game it'll resume the ssleay32.dll missing error.

 

Both Origin Ultimate collection (new install) and old (disc) install fail to launch, any directions?

 

 

"- When I launch my game, I'm getting the following error: Missing Required file "Ssleay32.dll". 

Solution: You will have to use the Hook option to hook the games you want to play. Use the Hook menu to hook your games, then use the game's own shortcut to start the launcher and use C&C:Online. Also make sure to disable your antivirus for the hooking."

 

I hooked C&C KW and it still returns the error missing the DDL file following those instructions.

Her is said log, it says it cannot locate Game.dat.

 

Also, Origin is disabled for all my games.

Please install this and see if it helps (it should do); Ultimate Collection Launchers by Bibber. It just fixes a bug with the Ultimate Collection (it only needs to be run once unless there is an Origin update).

You will have to use your Origin version with Windows 10.

The game now refuses to go past the splash screen, error log attached below.

I'm going to remove C&C Online, re-install TW3 + KW and try it. I'll report back and see where it goes.

 

EDIT: nothing changed, problem persists even after removing and re-installing C&C3 + KW and C&C online. The game also does not run without C&Conline.

 

 

Order of install/appliance:

1. Remove C&C Online + TW3 and KW

2. Download and install TW3 + KW over Origin

3. Apply non-Origin launcher patch

4. Re-install C&C Online

5. Hook KW to C&C Online

6. Attempt to launch (failed)

Your game is patching properly now, which is good .    For investigative purposes, could you try to launch the game without the launcher, exit the game and wait 30 seconds and then try to launch from the launcher?

The game doesn't launch in standalone, the splash pops up, stays for about 10 seconds and dissapears into nowhere.

 

Taskmanager also does not see any task running after this happens.

Consider it solved, I think I have found the root of issues related to this.

I'll post it as soon as I figure out that I actually found the root of the problem, not jumping conclusions too early.

 

Other users here seem to have the same partial problem, I'm trying to get some information so I can make sure that my fix is actually good.

Make an own thread and I'll look into it, as you can see throughout this thread I've ran into quite a few problems. Making your own thread would help troubleshooting.
