I am using the Steam edition of RA3.

I am on Windows 10

The error i am receiving is not really an Error more of which the inability for it to launch the game.

i have tried restarting my PC multiple times, Uninstalling & fully deleting all files and reinstalling the game etc. and now I'm to a point where the game will launch with thee Launcher with the "-ui" launch option.

My issue starts after i hook C&C online to red alert 3. after that it will not launch my launcher, nor will it even try to start up RA3 after splash screen. I've been all over google and stuff with no luck on support to this issue. any suggestions or full help will be greatly appreciate.

NOTE: i have gotten the game to work unhooked to C&C online.

UPDATE: Game no longer works alone period. nothing else has changed ( same day as post but @ 1:31 pm)

I have the same, RA3 installed through steam on windows 10.

 

Unhooked the game will load when the red alert icon is clicked, clearly however not connecting to your service, when hook option is selected it does nothing other than load up the c&c software.

 

I have turned off windows defender and I have no other antivirus. the windows firewall is also turned off.

 

I've run steam as administrator and added the shortcut that way, I've also gone to the C&conline.exe and set in the properties for that to run as admin, still no luck.

I tried navigating to:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Command and Conquer Red Alert 3

 

and running the .exe as administrator there, still didn't work.

 

if I click red alert 3 within c&c online panel it shows the red alert 3 red start up screen, but steam will load if not already open, then the games does nothing again

 

interestingly when I try to close steam it says that red alert 3 must be closed first, I cant see any process running in task manager however.

 

the CNCOnline_Log.txt log file is completely empty

 

out of idea's?...

What happens if you disable hooking, start the game through Steam and then start the launcher and click on RA3?
