A-9 Vigilance - This was Kuat Drive Yards' attempt at producing a disposable fighter to compete with rival Siener Fleet Systems' ubiquitous TIE Fighter. Despite considerable technological advancements, the restraints of Imperial Navy doctrine meant that it lacked both combat shielding and a hyperdrive unit. Like the TIE, however, the A-9 partially compensated for this with powerful engines and maneuvering jets, outpacing even the TIE Interceptor. It also sported some of the largest weapons a fighter could mount in its two heavy laser cannons, but ultimately was never deployed in significant numbers with the Navy after its plans were acquired by the New Republic.
ARC-170 - A relic of the Clone Wars, this massive fighter/bomber served in the Republic Navy and was a predecessor to the T-65 X-wing. Although considered state-of-the-art for its time - most notably being one of the first starfighters to come equipped with an enclosed hyperdrive - it is severely lacking by modern standards in terms of speed and maneuverability. Shield and hull ratings date the ARC-170, but its weapons systems have largely withstood the test of time, providing the sole redeeming feature of the ship. Oversized laser cannons protrude from its wingtips, while its flanks are protected by two light laser turrets, allowing it to perform bombing runs without an escort. Despite the performance drawbacks, the main reason the ARC-170 is no longer a common sight in the galaxy is because of its staggering crew requirement - three beings and one astromech.
Firespray-31-class Patrol And Attack Ship - This unusual design was envisioned to accommodate law enforcement roles, but almost never made it past the prototype stage. The project was halted after all of the originals were destroyed, save for one, which was confiscated by Jango Fett. This ship, of course, went on to become the Slave I, whose fame as a bounty hunting ship, in an ironic twist of fate, served as the perfect marketing tool with which to revive the project. The Firespray is a relatively small transport and thus handles similar to a bomber, able to achieve respectable sublight speeds and excellent maneuverability for its size. Its only standard armament is a dual laser cannon, which is capable of swiveling to provide decent coverage to somewhat make up for the otherwise lack of weaponry.
HWK-290 Light Freighter - Part of Corellian Engineering Corporation's Hawk series of light freighters, the HWK-290 was an alternative to the Barloz-class that was produced before the modular design revolution of the YT series. Its biggest advantage was its speed and maneuverability, as the ship was sold without any standard armament with which to defend itself.
R-41 Starchaser - An older model in the same line as the R-22 Spearhead that would serve as the basis for the RZ-1 A-wing, the R-41 Starchaser is a general-purpose fighter that was favored by criminal organizations for its rare inclusion of ion cannons on a fighter craft. It is slightly flimsy compared to military specs, but overall has good ratings across the board, able to keep pace with TIE Fighters while maintaining a fairly heavy armament consisting of two light laser cannons and two light ion cannons.
YT-1300 Light Freighter - The most popular transport class in recent history, the YT-1300 ushered in a transportation revolution with its application of modular cargo space. Renown for its ability to take on all sorts of modifications and customizations, the factory configuration is quite modest compared to most of the YT-1300s in service, with average defenses and an above average speed stereotypical of Corellian engines.
