Hello all.

I have a question regarding AI vs AI skirmishes using DoS 3.2. I am trying to figure out what settings I should have set up for the most balance across the board. I have been playing with things like attack delay, quickstart, resource rate, dynamic building, ect ect. trying to find a good balance. The only glaring issues so far seem to be the Necrons getting steamrolled and the Tau steamrolling everyone.

I am just wondering if anyone who has messed with this aspect has discovered the sweet spot yet, or if the settings don't impact it as much as I think.

I assume you used the all AI battle autoexec refered to in the sticky above?
I always use this for testing, but I experienced that the lines disabling fog actually give a great advantage to units with high weapon range, i.e. they can engage targets that would otherwise be hidden by the FoW.
This should definitely apply to Tau, since they have lots of units with superior weapon range.
I know this is not a direct answer to your question but I thought it could be important as well.
I don't think that the aspects you mentioned have a significant effect on ballance unless you change the script for a specific race. But you are talking about the AI Control Panel right?... Well if an option there affected the balance, I guess this would arise out of an initial disbalance, cause the changes influence all races in a similar way.

Err.. Tau in Soulstorm 1.20 is GROSSLY IMBA and I doubt Relic will ever go back and fix that. :( Tau always wins pretty much everytime and Necrons were nerfed a little more than I'd have liked. Oh well..
