Honestly guys. When I looking/playing PR then I have the feeling that Lucas Arts should beg for forgiveness for releasing such insignificant version of the game when you compare this to Phoenix Rising. LA should deliver all beer, :p and pizza for free as long as PR Team is working.

Awesome update, but deep in my hearth I was hoping that next update after "polishing up campaigns" will be long awaited new version. This waiting is killing me. ;)

I did think that the DE era was somewhat too soon after Thrawn: mere weeks after a tactical genius almost dominates the galaxy, the hench honcho then turns up and acheives in days many of Thrawn's goals with sheer numbers and firepower.

No, no - there's at least half a year between the two in which the Ciutric Hegemony campaign takes place. Coruscant also falls to a re-inspired loyalist/warlord coalition and endures several months of civil war before Palpatine publicly reappears near the beginning of the comics. The campaign drags on until his final death at Onderon, around 46:6. Shortly thereafter, the NR retakes Coruscant and Luke establishes the NJO (Jedi Search).

LucasArts should beg more forgiveness for not hiring Phoenix Rising(when he applied there) :p even though they have released a need for new employees on their website.

As to the Emperor going after Thrawn it has been somewhat stated by some people that it may of been that Palpatine didn't want Thrawn to live and waited until after his demise...a foolish thing to do in my opinion especially when the Yuuzhan Vong were rapidly approaching the Galaxy and they needed a strong tactician to defeat them.

Great update! Anyway, I think you should add the MC90, its pretty important in this campaign, I believe it is more important than the Eclipse.

It's the top of the wish list for this campaign. We need a decent model!

*cough* I might be able to help with that. Check out the screenshots we have on the UEAW ModDB page and tell me if you want the model.

Appreciate the offer, but I'm done adding units for v1.2... although not all of them have been announced yet.

I'll be interested to see the Devastator in action. Is it just going to be a strong basic ship with just weapons and hordes of TIE Droids or are you going try and give it some special ability to try and mimic the devastating power of the Molecular furnace?

Very nice work you guys are doing. I really like the campaigns you folks are turning out. Question, is this campaign available now? When would we be able to play this?

Good job!!

In the original post:

At point blank range, these furnaces can be turned upon enemy warships, consuming them utterly.

I'm going to assume it's either a new adaptation of a Land ability they got functioning in space, a particle beam a la Piett, or another Force Crush port, as represented on the Dominator-class Star Destroyer.

Oh yes. The Molecular Furnaces work very well. ;)

I'm not sure about the graphic - I think it's one of the rarer ones - but at point blank range the Molecular Furnace eats Star Destroyers whole for breakfast, burps, and moves one to lunch 30 seconds later.

As to the base destruction. Yup. If the WD is in the blockading fleet after the enemy fleet is destroyed/eaten, it utterly wipes out all ground structures on the planet below. :p

As with all posts regarding campaign updates, this will be available when we release Phoenix Rising V 1.2
If you look back, you will see updates on all 7 campaigns. OSH was the last to be done, mostly because it involved the most work! (It's taken about 3-4 months to get right).

We are still testing the campaigns, and there are quite a few things to do, check, recheck, test, tweak and check again - but yes - it's closer now.

Back to work...

Campaigns aside, there are still tons of loose ends to tie up before a release. I can assure you we're not slacking though.

I believe the [Eclipse SSD] model included in FOC vanilla had no hardpoints, and is therefore currently unusable as a unit. I'm sure it's on the wish list, but super-dreadnaughts are pretty horrible to rig.

Well, I've seen evilbobthebob here... so I can only mention that guys from Ultimate EaW team have made the Eclipse model alive and kicking for their mod... of course not to mention that there were both Eclipse and Sovereign(s) under Emperor's command... :thumbsdownsmiley:

quick question; are the new units (WD, Shadow droids, droid ties, ect..) buildable or just special starting units? my guess is the starting but i figured i'd ask

Just special starting units. As a rule, I don't want anything to be buildable that can't upgrade, and it didn't make sense to put these on the tech tree.

Hmmm, but the Empire starting with the World Devastators seems a little overpowering. I remember the Empire harassing me with the Sovereign when playing as the Alliance in the campaigns on v1.1 and 1.0. Isn't it possible to put the World Devastators after the Dominator-class Star Destroyers or the Sovereign-class Star Dreadnought on the tech tree? And how did you fix this with the Death Star?

Sorry if these question have already been answered, been away for a long time :crazed: .

Good questions.

The Death Star is a dreadnaught, so it has no upgrade. It's buildable, but only in Skyhook since it's paid up front (no cost, only build time).

The Empire no longer starts with a Sovereign-class in Shadow Hand; instead they get Palpatine with Sovereign. So if you can manage to assassinate him (really expensive, but possible), or kill him on the ground, the flagship is lost.

As I said, they do get a handful of starting World Devastators though. They're strong capitals, but they're not invincible. Plus, if you happen to be in a battle with dark side Artoo, he will automatically lower WD shields, so it's not a great idea to use them with Supreme Commander Skywalker.

Finally, OSH is a campaign the NR is supposed to lose. That's why their only objective is to take Byss. Expect carnage.

So the units that are not on the tech tree will not be in the unit encyclopedia on the site?

Well I expecting nothing less than carnage. It is for this one small reason I consider PR best mod of all. But still are you considering bumping up Republic forces a bit, so OSH won't turn into one big battle (over Byss) which Republic can't win? After all when Empire conquer pretty much everything around Core there is no hope in hell for Republic to build some much needed Capitals to destroy fleet over Byss. (I just playing it in my mind with - not much - info available :ninja: )

V.1.2 Release at X-mas/New Year? With all brand new campaigns it will be like buying 3-4 new games in one super-duper giant expansion. Oh my, can't wait to see this... :crazed:
