Gameplay
The Zone Raider drop replaces the Zone trooper drop, which becomes available after a Space Command uplink building is built. This special power is the only method of obtaining the Zone Raiders, so use it wisely!
The power drops 3 squads of Zone Raiders. Those who have played Kane's Wrath will be aware of the differences and also the strengths and weaknesses they have in comparison to the Zone Troopers.
For a quick overview, their weapon is projectile based and can miss, but in turn it does area splash damage, so it can damage many units at once. Also they have shoulder mounted anti-air rockets, for dealing with aerial threats.
One benefit of having the Zone Raiders guest in Tiberian History, is that they bring the improved stats for the Zone Troopers upgrades with them!
This means that instead of a 10% range increase, you'll get a 20% increase when you research the 'ZoneTrooperScannerPack' upgrade. Also instead of a 30% health increase, you'll get a 50% health increase when you research the 'ZoneTrooperAutoInjectors' upgrade.
How you use them is up to you, but I'd recommend using the 'Call for transport' ability (if available) to provide them with added protection and mobility.
After that's done, have fun! Don't forget that you can also target air units!
