I ain't afraid of an illegal Venator, all I need is a few Star Destroyers and some good anti-fighter like Lancers or advanced TIEs with the Empire, or a few MC80s and some good anti-fighter like DP20s or A-wings with the Rebels, and I could handle it. Counters are everything, it is all about knowing the match ups and taking advantage of those match ups. Unless something is so overpowered that advanced technology has trouble, I can't be intimidated, and even if it is overpowered I will find a way to beat it.

Nice idea - but what about the escorting fleet that goes with it for the spoils and salvage rights?

The Imperial Creeping Barrage leaves no survivors and grants no quarter.

Yeah. I saw that screen-shot of yours a while back. Nice.

Really, though, heavy turbodisruptors are so deadly against shield heavy ships. NR is hit especially hard, with most of their capitals at a 2:1 shield hull ratio.

Sounds like someone needs to contract out some Hajen-class Fleet Tenders.

Ghostrider, I am not afraid of the support either, if I can get capital ships and good anti-fighter, then I will have access to everything else I need. To quote a certain Chiss CIS general, "My tactics are superior." ;)

Illegal units essentially break the rules of war, so you have to have a different approach against them compared to conventional forces. Ignore shield rating and amass ships with high hull integrity. Sensor Jamming or Point Defense (more so the latter) are also useful to counter slow-moving, high-payload warheads and those annoying mag pulses. Fighters will get chewed up, so don't even bring them; go with transports instead. Repair ships are always good if you can build them, but don't rule out utilities: even if they come under attack, it's a waste of disruptor fire to shoot at something so weak. Pairing tugs with something like the Reef Home-class (now with Sensor Jamming) or Singularity will keep those nasty diamond borons away while the hull is tended. And if you have a hero with Enforcement, bring him - the bounties are doubled.

Recusants and Acclamators may be useful to lead the fleet for the Point Defense it seems, as well.

Technology is the answer to the illegal problem. Praetors and the Independence-class would probably be a good investment too. Does anyone know who that Chiss CIS general was I referred too?

Since I can't use the search function, what is the latest estimated release date for V1.2?

EDIT: Found the thread, so I'll just quote Phoenix Rising

Well, it's a fix I'm working on and the mod won't really run without it. I've modified 350 files in the past week to (thus far) no avail. I'm working as quickly as I'm able and the release will happen a week or so after this is taken care of. Any topics you can post in the meantime would be appreciated, since Ghostrider is also currently out of town. I'll try to respond in between attempts.

It's been two months since that post.
However, with the new pirates and (hopefully) reduced lag the team have implemented during these two months, I'll all be worth it.
Hope this is released at the end of this year!

Don't worry. We have been pretty productive in the last 2 months. We will both report soon.
Cheers

That would be the sound of someone grabbing their ankles in preparation for a REALLY bad day ;)
