What is this mod doing?

 
This mod is a kind of middleware for DOW custom races mods.
It provides the updated strategic-, objective- and relic- point's 3d model, and not intended to be played directly.
 
 

How/where do I install the mod?

 
Just unpack it into DOW SS/DC directory.

I've just tried the new beta3 RC and the Objective Point still looks textured incorrectly. I'm pretty sure I overwrote the files of Objective_points_SS with yours.

November 2011 news

Global rework have been performed on Objective_Points mod. All 3 types of point's 3d models was merged in one "new" model, and OE + AE code was completely remade. This is allow now to significantly reduce amount of work for future adding race's banners to the mod.

Though, integration yet not complete (some relic/necron/tyranid FX-es not moved to new model properly), but for other modder's races everything looks good now.

The updated mod will be uploaded soon.

Massive, Jones!

So which vanilla/mod factions are actually moved over to have their strat/relic/and critical points fixed? Are the rest going to be added? Is it time consuming or much less now since you have a better cleaner system to work with?

All they, which in prev. version had only proper strat points, not relic and objective ones.

Are the rest going to be added? Is it time consuming or much less now since you have a better cleaner system to work with?

Much less now,.. mostly

Though, TS race obelisk need to its model be adapted/remade. Texture re-topology require to be performed.
