I've finally applied the long overdue upgrade to our forum software, IP.Board. Version 3.2 features many improvements, such as a new interface, tagging support and a new editor with auto-save, to name a few. For a complete list of changes, check out IPS' official announcement from last summer.

I'm still ironing out the last few upgrade issues. If you notice any, please post here.

Could you set up the media tags to have parameters for YouTube video sizes? Shorten links and longer links end up with a different container, even with different sizes... and neither of the sizes can have parameters.

Example:

EDIT: Best would be to have the longer link's (in this post, the first one's) container with customizable size.

I did some experimenting with the YouTube player, but it doesn't seem easily possible to make it very customizable. What I've achieved so far is that you can add a #widthxheight parameter to the long YouTube URL and sometimes this works to make it the size you want. Sometimes it also just fails outright.

Meh... if we used to look like this and changed into a style that looked exactly like our old one, we all would have went, "Ooooo! Wow! I love the new layout! It's so modern!" So my current stance on the upgrade:

Oooo! Wow! I love the new layout! It's so modern!

Didn't we just go through an upgrade a few months ago?

Or has it really been that long?

If by "a few" you mean 13, then yes. Our last upgrade was in January 2011. Time flies...

Has it ever been discussed that we might buy a skin from Skinbox?

I had a looked see, and some of them aren't bad. Also, the prices look very agreeable, but I'm sure it increases depending on how many people you have visiting your forum?

I haven't had any issues, as it seems to work quite nicely and so on... but today, I've been having some loading issues with the site, and only Revora. I click to go to the forums or an individual topic, and it takes quite a bit of time to load at times, and sometimes just fails and says 'cannot find URL'. Dunno if that's just me, but I thought it worth mentioning.

I've been messing around on the server quite a bit today, which included a lot of recompiling. It's very likely that this lead to some performance issues.
However, what I wanted to fix is fixed now. It'll be interesting to see how this affects the overall performance.

Well I didn't have any issues loading just now, so if you did something, it may have worked.

Yes.

I asked Rob if he was willing to redo it, but he said he doesn't have enough time right now or in the near future (it's a lot of stupid, repetitive work). If anyone wants to volunteer, he can say so.
