Recently, the teams of From Book to Game (here on in FB2G) and Quenta Silmarillion merged, forming a large company, named after the former, which is developing two related mods, dedicated to bringing the lore of Tolkien's legendarium to BFME2. The original FB2G can speak for itself, hosted and not without interest from the Revora and ModDB communities.

But the crew have been hard at work on Quenta Silmarillion, having produced vast quantities of designs, models, art and maps, which is why we're posting here - to show our worthiness to get hosted with Revora.

Below, I've put a number of my most recent models to show some of the stuff I've been up to, and the mappers, Past5evermark and future4, plus ReallyFat (our coder and other artist), will be posting some of their produce below too.

If you've read this, thank you for taking the time to do so, and we hope you

enjoy the mod when it's released as much as we've enjoyed making it!

The Watcher returns in Quenta Silmarillion as a fully recruitable crab-like unit!

A recruitable Watcher? Isn't that a bit OP?

You'd want to at least put a timer and unit limit on it.

I'm guessing it would be a hero and depending on what it does, it might not be OP.
You think about, in Bfme vanilla, you have 1 horde of mirkwood archers with Silverthorn and the watcher is gone before you you know it.

Recruitable, but at a limit of one at a time (like RotWK's Drake Brood). And Matt, it has two appendages at the rear, but no, it's not like GW's. I deliberately didn't make it like that, as it looks like a slug.

What's OP?

Nope, not overpowered. Because it's worth more than a pretty penny, you'll be saving up for this critter, and it uses up Command Points like taxes. And it'll probably not be too fond of fire, either.

The Hyarmentiri (used in both singular and plural of noun) are the creatures most directly related to Ungoliant, who dwell on, in and around the Hyarmentir mountain, in SouthEastern Valinor. Far larger than shelob, these creatures can tear apart any fortification or any man, as long as they aren't faced with fire, as the chitin encrusting their bodies catches and burns easily.
They can also tunnel to anywhere on the map, eject webs as a missile to encase victims and also create their own independent Lairs, from which both Spiderlings and Great Spiders can be borne.

Obviously, with these abilities and sheer firepower, this creature is very expensive (est. 8000 resources, 150 CP).

aint that a BIT overkill, i'd say 1500 rexources, and 100 CP.
