I'm posting to say this looks awesome! And so I can follow the thread. Have you considered trying to get hosted?

Thanks, man, I appreciate it! And I actually decided that this topic, at least for now, is sufficient. Forums for a hosted Westernesse would just make news more spread out and, in my opinion, its unnecessary for this mod. On the other hand, if I needed the hosting I'd find no trouble applying :p

I like the poem in your introduction to the mod. Yours or from the books?

Mine. Funny, I was rereading it a couple of days ago thinking how terribly cringey it sounded.

No way. It's not cringy at all. It's dark and sad. Feels like it's speaking about something once great and beautiful falling into darkness.

Normals look really good! Most people when they put normal maps on they end up looking terrible.

The only thing that catches my eye is the mapping on the top of the walls is not too good. Amend that a little bit and it will be spot on.

It is very interesting and amazing how your using the large object to create a map. =D

Good point, will do :) hadn't noticed quite how bad that looked till you pointed it out.

The new shellmap (as seen from WB, need to sort out a couple of things before I get a proper in-game working version).

Fantastic.

How did you do this? Did you create a custom Elenna model there?

This is so beautiful!

Too bad we cannot have specular maps in BfME II. You could make little shiny rivers coming down from the mountain. =p

Thank you guys :) yeah, it's a custom W3D model of Numenor, and it doesn't use specularity, but rather normal mapping, to work like that. And NJM, don't feel bad, I love your maps :)

Yes, currently the shine is too much (the only thing that is not brilliant). But a bump map and specular map would be fantastic to have in this engine.
