Hey All!
I love this mod! But when I installed it and started playing it - it won't show up in full screen mode on my laptop. The screen is basically a square flanked by black on the left and right sides of the playing window. As a result all the units are very tiny and difficult to see.

Any tips on how to fix this?
Thanks

I believe that problem is Generals doesn't support the resolution your computer is in. Did you have this problem with Generals before installing Remix?

Assuming that's the problem, you can do the following: If you right click your desktop and click "screen resolution" (assuming you're on Win7), you should see Resolution, and a drop down box with a pair of numbers. In your "My Documents" folder should be a folder called "Command and Conquer Generals: Zero Hour Data." In that folder is a file called Options.ini. Open that with notepad. In the field "Resolution = " enter in the resolution of your lap top. For example, my monitor is at 1920x1080 for its resolution. So in that field I entered "1920 1080" (notice that there isn't an x).

That may fix the problem you're having. The other possible issue is because the camera is zoomed out so much and your computer is having issues rendering everything. Try zooming in during a game, and let me know if you still have the black border.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply, I appreciate it!
How do I zoom in during the game?
I've never had this problem when I've used generals or ZH or contra.
Thanks!

Also in options.ini file it doesnt say anything about resolution in mine. Maybe I unistalled previous mods incorrectly.

Resolution = 1920 1080

That should be one of the fields in Options.ini. If it isn't there, you probably can add it (again, use your computer's resolution).

Normally you zoom using the mouse wheel (scrolling). You can also zoom in and out with 8 and 2 on the number pad respectively. 5 will reset the camera to it's default position.
