Geo Guessr is a game designed from the Google Map interface that will test your knowledge of the world.  In this game, you are thrown into 5 random different street views, and using the world map, you must guess where you are.  The closer you are, the more points you get.

This is super fun, and I think it would be groovy to deign a Revora Guessr challenge.  So familiarize yourself with the game and think of some great ideas to test the entire community in a gauntlet of geographical doom.  And post some high scores you get in the mean time.

Yeah, Robyn showed me this when I was bored a while ago. I love this thing, highly entertaining.

Once got it in under twenty metres, can't remember exactly. Somewhere in Sweden, I think it was.

Russia is a real big son of a stink.  It literally has every type of landscape and architecture in it, and it's flipping the size of the moon.

9617 points on my 2nd try.

Luckily they threw in an Australian one and I recognised the flora at once and a Nevada one which is easy to get only 300kms off of that one.

My advice is to find road signs. I mean, in Russia and China that doesn't work, but in many places it's a good tactic.

14079 points on my second try. I got lucky when I spotted a Vancouver hockey teambus on the road and managed to get within 14 kilometers of the spot. :p

I don't understand that.  Not only is Russian an incomprehensible language, with the city names dire to work out, but the landscape is just so inconsistent.  I was in a Russian coastal city that I thought was The Caribbean, and a winter terrain that I confused for Canada.  What an awful country...

I recognised the lettering on one of the billboards and took a stab since most of Russia's cities are on the western side so I clicked south of Moscow and was off by like 100km.

Ha!  Wow...But I do wonder if you get a place just right outside your house, and how weird the stereoscopic perspective is, if you could recognize it.  I can't say fur sure I could.
