I don't know if this can be fixed, but it seems the game is really not very alt-tab friendly in fullscreen. If you happen to alt-tab or even accidently click outside the window because you have a dual monitor set up, the game minimizes and you no longer can go back to the game, the only way is to terminate it.

 

Edit: Often when I try to click the menu icon, it also minimizes in fullscreen. Dangit, that's the only way to actually see all the units in game, but it seems I'm forced to play in tiny windows or big windows with tiny units.

Did you try any other renderers? Options->Display

Good idea. But apparently when clicking the menu icon, it doesn't minimize; it freezes up the game. Weird, this didn't happen the first few times, but after a time, it just froze up. Still investigating.

 

Solution: IE-DDRAW renderer fixes this issue. Will check other renderers for any other optimal solution.

 

Finding: TS-DDRAW causes the same bug.

 

Finding: DDWrapper causes the same bug, but also causes the window to flash.

 

Finding: DxWnd same bug.

 

Conclusion: IE-DDRAW seems to be the optimal solution. However, the game first comes up with the taskbar visible. Have to alt-tab and back to make it go away, but at least you can alt-tab and you can go to the menu without the game freezing up.

weird bug i found, the allies can't make a airfield on twin bridge on unholy (i played both as haihead and usa) so that cut off all of the allied tech tree, the ai never made one too

Don't know if it goes here with 3.3 version, but in AI only matches, game loads several hero units instead of one. Like Hailhead has 2 Alizes, Epsilon HQ has two Irkallas. Is that normal?

You're probably playing with 'Mental AI' enabled.
