I think everyone collects one thing or other. Some people have a wargaming fascination, others with film memorabilia, or even stamp collecting and Lilliput Lanes.

For me it's a fascination to see what people collect, so post here, I'm genuinely interested.

My guilty pleasure is collecting albums, to the point where a fair amount of my income is used in growing it:

I was watching your first picture load.  I said to myself, "Oh.  Yea.  That's a lot of albums."  Then it just kept loading downwards with more.  Yea.  That's a spit load of albums.

This is a dangerous topic for me.  I collect many things.  But my favorite thing to collect is cards.  I.  Love.  Cards.  Not birthday cards or John Smith Day cards... collectible game cards.  I have a vast collection of Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon, Scrolls, Digimon, Steam Cards (they count!) and recently, I've been collecting Munchkin cards.  Hmm... I think I should see if I can get my camera to work.  I like bragging about my loot hoarding.

Sadly I'm not into much metal/rock/punk but I did see one album I have to confess to...

Dun dun dunnnn.......

I suppose I sort of collect room posters (don't we all?). Different types but mostly film posters, musicians or maps

Can't quite make out that picture... what is that, your lonely album of Kiss, 1979?

Maps are fun to collect. But posters?  Not so much.  I have original Resident Evil 0 and 3 posters, but those are not for hanging.

I never got into Yu Gi Oh and such, but the idea did appeal. Just collecting things is nice, simply so you have a collection.

Also, yeah, it's not all heavy, as you point out, Lenwe, but there's a few more socially unacceptables in there too:

I remember when I was younger that I was really an avid collector. Nowadays I don't have the money nor the energy to go around collecting stuff.

But yeah, I did stamps, mini-figures of roman soldiers, mini-metal warplanes, these things. Might post some pictures soon.

kudos to Pasidon for this awesome avvy and siggy!

One question:

Why?

Why else? Because I like the songs that have been written for them.

That is an exceptionally good reason compared to most nowadays, it normally tends to be because they're good looking although girls don't admit to it.

"For them"? Is this hinting something?

I feel like this is an innuendo I'm not picking up on. Also, yeah, admittedly I do have a thing for Harry Styles, that's nothing to do with whether I like the music or not.

And Gen, my image of you collecting dismembered organs is now dissolved. Shame.

'For them' as if their songs where written by someone other than the band themselves and that the gentlemen had little to do with the writing of the music

Well, yeah, I think 'little' is an overstatement.

I'd say so but at least they appear to keep the auto-tune fairly well reduced.

I used to collect CDs back in the day still got them all probably about as many as you do, it took me a few days to rip them all onto my comp.

I used to collect quite a few things I had all of the holographic Pokemon cards including the rare Meowth but lost them at some point, I had the full collection of Oddbodz and Space Oddbodz cards including the cold ones but they were stolen, I was collecting fighting games on PS1 had most of them, I have every Zoids DVD that was dubbed since they weren't released as  box set that's like 30 dvds or so.
