How to remove house colors for units in BFME1

 

 

 

I did it for BFME 2 years ago ,can't remember How now.

The banners should have their colours and the buildings but the individual units I want removed /

The 1.06 lotr.str should be sufficient right? ;)

To remove ONLY the units, I think the most simple method would be to create a "new" texture for the units (just copy the original one), then using code or modelling, replace the original texture with the "new" one, this will override the house colour setting for the units, without having to remove them from the game entirely.

 

There might be an easier way, but I cannot think of it as house colours is a global on/off thing. The only way I know to void it without turning it off globally is to have custom textures without a house colour profile made specifically for the new texture.

I'm removing the house colors for some units in my texture pack by replacing the house color skins with an empty skin.
