Hey,

I just wanted to ask if rotkw support is still in the making? It would be really useful, since most mods are based of rotkw. We always have like 10 players in our tunngle network (for edain mod), so we would very appreciate if we could use this as an easier alternative

I am also waiting for RotWK support so I can play SEE-DC and RJ-mod online. =D

I also wait for Rise of the witchking support, cause the most players play with this addon and mods.

After releasing support for BFME2 we experienced a complete lack of interest/support from the (much larger) BFME2 community, most of whom stayed on GameRanger and refused to try our server. That's why we haven't worked on RotWK yet, we decided to pursue C&C:Online first because we thought it'd be more rewarding.

RotWK support should arrive at some point but I can't say when that is.

But i think many people will Join T3A:Online if you make it for the addon.

Cause many people play with mods that only work with Rise of the Witchking and so they must use other ways like tunngle but this isn't so attractive like your beautiful modification.

Sorry if my english is a little bit bad.

This is a fair point, but as Mathijs said, we experienced the same for BFME2. Everyone said "Make the server for BFME 2, it will be a big success blabla". See the results, 0 players online, 0 players playing games. Not really promising, after all. Phil is the main coder and right now he has very little time available, so even if RotWK had priority I don't think it would come soon.

There were hundreds of BFME2 players on GameRanger. None of them came over to the server.

Did you asked them for the Reason?

Here we wait for a release for witchking so that we can switch :smilehuh:

I will start a survey to controll that in the german Forum.

No, I did not ask 200 people why they refused to make the effort. :p

However, we advertised for days on GameRanger, talking to people and making our case (the server is superior to GameRanger obviously), helping them set it up etc. until the GameRanger owner banned us all. He's kind of an asshole.

Point is, RotWK support will eventually come when Phil has the time to set it up (the actual setup shouldn't be hard or time consuming). It'd probably help if you'd start some sort of petition to show him it's worth his time. :p

In what modification? There is no no-cd crack in T3A:Online software.

Edain Mod was against advertising for us (or even allowing a T3A:Online thread on their board; thanks guys!) because a patch we recommended for BFME1 had a built-in no-cd crack, yeah.

We're currently recommending a different patch (1.06), but it still has a no-cd crack. We think this is legally just fine, seeing as the game is officially no longer for sale, meaning we're not causing any loss in profits for EA. Lots of old players have lost their discs over the years and they can't exactly go out and buy new ones (unless they want to pay 200 bucks on ebay).

I don't think anyone supports the disk being $200 on Ebay. =p
