Hey guys.

Does anyone know if RotWK has any Dwarven Archer models? Like is there any obsolete model anywhere or maybe a Dwarf CaH model that uses a bow? I know this is a long shot but just thought I'd ask.

I know I could make a Dwarf Archer model but I don't have any W3D editing software and don't know how to use them anyhoo. I also can't add new assets to my mod anymore either (since I got this new computer, I can't get any of the AssetBuilders to work). Worst case, I just have to leave the Dwarves with the Men of Dale.

Thanks a million guys.

Not to my knowledge, but it shouldn't be a lot of work for someone here to create one.

I can do it if there's no other volunteers (as I'm already quite busy).

Ok, thanks a million man. I think i'll stick with the Men of Dale for the moment, it's far more effort than it's worth to go making a new model but thanks for the offer though Mathijs.

On a slightly different matter, Im trying to make a new Dwarven unit using the CaH code (im going to try make it use a ranged weapon using the through axe animation) but I can't get all the sub objects to disappear. There's still an axe floating and spinning in the air next to the unit, I don't suppose anyone knows how to get rid of it?? Also, Im having to use the HideSubObjects code to hide every single piece of armour and weapons, is there an easier way to do that, somethis like HideSubObjects = ALL?

Cheers guys.

Edain mod and WotE mod have dwarven archer models.

If u want to create a new dwarven hero for CAH, RJ Rotwk mod may help u a lot ,as some of new heroes in the mod were from CAH including its new dwarven heroes.

Thanks a million for the reply man.

I went and downloaded the RJ mod but all the dwarven heroes had the same floating axe when I copied them across to my mod. Tomorrow i'll just load up his mod and see if its the same.

Added: also, the RJ CaH heroes don't have the HideSubObjects code for every piece of bling the model isn't using but instead only the ShowSubObjects for the bling that they ware. How the hell are they doing that?

Thanks a million for that. I have been through that tutorial several times over the years but could never get the bling to work like he said. I had to hide everything I wasn't using. I did just see an axe I wasn't hiding though, i'll go try hide that (AXE02).

Worked a treat! No floating axe.

I have an axe chucking model working now. Took a bit of messing around with the weapon timing to get the throw axe animation to get in sync with the axe leaving his hand but its all good now. It also occurred to me though that if I can find a Bow object, I can place in his hand by using the draw code and attaching it to his B_HAND_R bone but then the problem would be finding an animation that would look like him firing a bow.

On another note; has anyone ever found out to change the 3 colours of a CaH model's armour after using it to make a new unit?

You might as well just import the texture and manually change the colour. I doubt there is a way to change the colour via code.
