Hi everyone, is there a way that AI could function properly after changing its faction name e.g. Air Force General is renamed to Helicopter General. After I renamed it the AI becomes idle. I even codded its teams, scripts, AI Data, Player List and Player Template.

How did you rename its faction name? You just have to edit faction names inside INI and SIDE categories. Use CSF Editor or SST Editor for this. It's not supposed to cause any problems.

How did you change the faction name? You don't need any kind of coding. You only need to edit generals.csf file. It's just the text you want to change, right? Extract generals.csf located in !Contra008EN.big (with CSF Editor or SST Editor), go to INI category, search for "Air Force", rename and save. Caution! Do not edit the string names such as "ini:factionamericaairforcegeneral". Only edit the text which you'll see in-game. Do the same for the one in SIDE category and save again. After all is done, insert the edited file inside the .big and save changes.
