The Witcher Season 3 is certain to be critically overrated and may go down in the record books as one of the worst TV shows of 2023. No wonder why Henry Cavill wanted out because simply the writers again didn't go by the book, and the story is dull and boring. No wonder why we have a writer's and actor's strikes. Recent TV shows and most movies are becomingly too predicable (even cliche) and uninteresting to watch. That's why I already declared TV is dead. Many people avoided watching TV and went streaming to watch old shows/movies anytime they wish.

Who here has tried the Tempest Rising playtest (public beta)? It'll end on Aug 28th. And yes, it's the first RTS game by a AAA studio running on Unreal Engine 5.

seems like a lot of smaller studios are throwing out RTS games now its gonna be interesting how all the young gamers gonna react to it

Just found out that that EA is milking the C&C franchise once again with another pathetic mobile game called C&C Legions. I guess EA wasn't paying attention to Tempest Rising until the release.

Do you have any example of commercial good modern RTS games?

Besides a decent Company of Heroes 3, Age of Empires 4 and several decent Indie RTS games that look incomplete, Tempest Rising is now the best shot to wait and play.

It's amazing that Frank Klepacki will be doing part of the Tempest Rising OST after all.

So I found out that Doom 3 is free to get (using a GOG redeem code) in Prime Gaming unless you are an Amazon Prime member. Ends in 18 days.

For the 25th anniversary, Half-Life is free to get on Steam until Nov. 20th! For me I wouldn't recommend it because of the remake from Black Mesa, unless you want to play total conversion add-ons. The original is still riddled with leftover bugs anyway.
