The first one looks better, but I think I'm missing something here. Is this an upgrade for a battledrone or something? Reading backwards in this thread it's not clear (to me anyway), what this is for? A temporary cameo for what?

I just had a crazy idea. Technically, all U.S. units are infantry at heart (pilots, for example), so maybe it would increase the range of Everything in the U.S. arsenal that doesn't respond with digital clicks.

It would kill balence however, so maybe there could be likewise upgrades for the other sides, like China getting an upgrade that makes all bullets have a small amount of napalm in them, and the GLA would have an upgrade that makes all infantry faster. the militia would have an upgrade to make them garrison structures without anyone knowing.

that would be cool

how about giving GLA an airfeld and varius aircraft

p.s. what does smoke gernades for spec ops do

the GLA wouldn't get an airfeild, because these four upgrades are like super upgrades, as in the fact that they would allow the player who got them to own all others if he got it first.

Smoke grenades reduce the accuracy and range of all units in the target area.

Oh, and thanks for the compliment

The GLA could get something like a "GPS scrambler" or other such device (which would be a unit or structure gained at 5 ranks) that would act like a stationary ECM tank. Aircraft missiles fired in its area of influence would miss horribly, giving them increased survivability against most US airstrikes.

well, that is a good idea, but I'm thinking that these upgrades would deal with the four basic, uh, elements of military units: firepower, range, speed, and armor.

Idea.

How about allowing the Humvee to switch weapons at will (automattically), depending on the type of unit it's firing at. Switching back and forth between machine gun, and TOW missiles.

the new assault humvee has a gattling that would take care of most threats. I would personally want both weapons on the target, for more damage.

Any way the Elite Pilots could be added (as a trainable unit) to the Air Force general?

And how about making the A-10 Thunderbolt II buildable? Make it have cannon (a powerful one) and autoreloading missiles. :p

Is it possible to add an upgrade for the F-22, F-23 and the JSF to equip it with a cannon? All of these are equipped with the M61 Vulcan cannon. That way, these planes could strafe infantry in passes, yet still be vulnerable to AA vehicles.

Any way to have a special upgrade for artillery platforms to fire mines?

The American MLRS could fire anti-tank mines and the Chinese could fire anti-personnel mines. No idea about the militia or the GLA...perhaps they could mine (boobytrap) objects with proximity bombs.

Militia's mine would be evil! they would have a mine that could be fired by their artillary guns, including the defense ones. the mines would bounce up and spread all sorts of shrapnel everywhere, finishing infantry nicely.

Would it be possible for aircraft to attack different targets?

Crazy idea, a Mobile Command Vehicle.

How about a mobile command vehicle, such as the M4 (C2V).

http://www.fas.org/m...ys/land/c2v.htm
http://www.army.mil/...tfiles/c2v.html

In the game you could have it allow all units within the command vehicle's range to be on a higher level of alert, or aggressiveness.

Also, when Col. Burton is garrisoned in the vehicle, some sort of new special ability could be activated. (sorry drew a blank here, you guys can fill in the blank)

One additional thought, the command vehicle could also detect stealth (for game purposes) similar to what the Chinese infantry general attack APC can do now in the game.

Crazy idea. The M1 GRIZZLY Breaching System.

'The GRIZZLY [initially designated the Breacher] is an armored vehicle designed to breach complex obstacles including mines, berms, wire, rubble, and tank-ditches. The GRIZZLY will breach obstacles with minimal preparation creating safe lanes for other vehicles in the dominant maneuver force with little or no loss in momentum. The GRIZZLY's obstacle clearing features include a full-width mine-clearing blade and a powered, extensible excavating arm ...'

'... It will have a remote fired 50-caliber machine gun and grenade launched screening smoke for self-defense.'

Source of quote:
http://www.fas.org/m...and/grizzly.htm

We could use an ARMED dozer in the game for clearing mines, and other functions such as repairing base defenses. I'm not suggesting that this unit build structures, just repair them.

This unit would also have the option for Omega repair drones to heal itself. Something the regular game dozers can't do now.

Also, the unit could assist and transport, the new combat engineer that ACE22 had suggested previously.

Just a thought.
