Ever sent waves on engeneers to someone's Barracks, with a defense ready to be placed, and poured engeneers out of that new barracks to capture at least the enemy conyard?.. and did it for all 3 sides?

lol I got all techs once - even battle lab stuff - just to build the ultimate base of pwnage, and a fearsome army. I pwned, and it was hillarious. :D

That was lucky.

One of my own finest hours was one just the other week. I started with two Easy AI allies, and 5 enemy AIs. Me and my buds were AL, the enemy NEXUS. Within about 5 minutes, the two easies were crushed, and all I could do was hold ground using shitloads of Pulvs and such, with my patented Stormbringer technique planting weather storms right on the main attack routes (to my direct south, and to my southeast, as well as another on a scrap of water near my base to mop up any sneaky Wraith artillery).

I had to spy three enemies to make enough cash to keep me going through all their attacks, build up a powerful force and also build a navy. I'd spied the barracks and war factory, too, to give myself a bit of a veterancy edge.

My first target was to the east. A huge red base. Bearing in mind I had FIVE AIs of quite substantial size...they covered most of the map, with the only bare land being where the Easies had been, and the others had not advanced there yet.

All I could hope to do was to try to thin the enemies out a bit, so I sent forth a huge fleet. The full 10 AC's, plus a shitload of Chrono Frigates and Missile Cruisers, hoping that the AI wouldn't send anything too nasty to combat them. It didn't. Surgical strikes on the power generators blacked the base out (losses from the laser defence grid were high, but hey, better that than sit there like lemmings while my base got steamrolled), and I then turned the CY and other major structures, working my way down (CY, WF, Barracks, Airfield). With this destroyed, I sent a mopup force of Decimators, Fusion Cannons and Pulverizers, getting a few up to elite, before moving the elites back to base to let others get promoted.

1 down, 4 to go.

Having gained ground to the east, I decided to press the attack down that side, while maintaining my southern defence point to stop everyone else. All the while I was being harassed by bombers, which wasn't fun. Those things are tough to bring down!

Combining my remaining fleet with my remaining advance force, I moved on the second one, which was Orange. Let's be frank. He fucked my ground troops over, and my naval air fleet wasn't sufficient to bust through. I had one other option. I had my regular airforce.
Strangely, the laser grid didn't look as bad from inland. Only three between me and the main power generators, plus a few AA units. I seized my chance and went for it. Bombed three generators flat, plus a barracks. Lost a few bombers, but the trade-off was worth it, as I was then able to finish them off using carriers, which had now come under fire from Wraiths and Howitzer emplacements...lost a good fleet there, despite being able to zap a few Wraiths away with my Chrono Frigates.

While replenishing my bombers (didn't bother with my navy from here), I surged a huge strike force down on the southern flank, against Purple. Losses were apalling, but the real victor of the day was the Fusion Cannon. I had about seven Elites by the end, and Purple base had its shit ruined in about 2 minutes. A full base became a crater. Leaving only two; Yellow and Grey.

Reinforcing the anti-purple team with Elite Decimators and Pulverizers which I had left, along with a newly-replenished bomber strike, I pressed the attack against yellow. Sure enough, he folded.

I don't think I need to discuss grey. I smashed him from both sides almost instantaneously.

The battle lasted 55 minutes and 23 seconds. The last time I did a match like this, it took over two hours. I had 2267 confirmed kills, 531 losses and over four million points.

I fucking rule.

well acually there was one that even surprised me well it began as told

It seemed like it would be a fare/interesting fight. It was Me and a brut rebel ai vs 2 brutal nexus to the north west, and 2 brutal aliied leagions to the west so I also espected to see alot of variety, anyhow.

the fight began faster than I thought it would, and I was pretty much depending on my ally for defence while I slowly built up my already damaged army. After about an half hour the allies were able to break through both my bridge defence force and my base/ oil defence and had destoryed all but 4 reguler tanks some infantry (varied) and a devestaterr while my ally was able to extremly weaken the closest of the allied leagion side and destroy half of an nexus base includeing its conyard, while I was gathering crates in a semi desoated reguin to the mab covered by hills to the north eastren part of the map. any how the other nexus army did not make any real move and was just gathering tons of econmity or so it seemed.

well the stronger farther allied counry sent a huge fleet to the remainder of my allied base ( It was wiped out :spam: )and sent the remains to the sleeping giant Nexus.
Nexus obliverated the force and swept over the allied leagion base (the closer one)and destroyed it in 20 minutes I think. its power was ennormes it had 2 con yards at the time, but the bottom allied force was not about to give up and there was a war between them that must of lasted an hour. By the time nexus was attacking the last allied leagion's last line of defence I had about 50 grand (all from crates lol )and finnally a mcv, and also by that time I had 6 demolishers and many other tanks gained from crates nexus had destroyed the allies, this was mostly because the allies had run out of enough curency to put up the large defences required to repel the mighty nexus fist.

countless armies soon attacked me and left me with only 5 demolishesers and a few miner tanks after the first assult. I then placed all my devasters in very defencive locatins and I was able to effectivly set up a defecnce. I had the maximum amout of demolishers plus a few extras from crates and most of them were elite so I prevailed. I was using masive airforce tactics to
get through the nexus defences that seemed to never end, and after 2 or 3 hours of trying to destroy all of his con yards and war factories and failling each time (I beleave the jet death count was in the ten thousands)
his base expanded so much it took up a wopping one third of the map and had about 4 or 5 con yards and who knows how many war factories which meant more intence attacks, and so I had to finally deploy my drednaght huge tank I had got from a crate (I think thats the name) which was elete through crates and had 1 or 2 boast in each catigory from crates also, I was able to increase my defences by 10 fold.

this meant I was able to build enoughh aircrafts to do the job 100's of aircrafts had left my base and I had done it. I had destroyed all con yards and warfactories in the nexus base. But now they were massesing in with troops so I sent my solo drednaught tank in to destroy what must of been at least 200 defences (most likely many more) with hundreds of troops guarding it. I was amazed that my single tank accomplished this. I killed every nexus unit or so it seemed.

you see the game wouldnt end. well I was mad so I did 4 things

1st I took my whole devisterr tank army with my drednaugh leadin it to find the last units ( I couldnt find all of them though I killed about 3) then I made enough of those radar vechiles (the ones that can see invisible things) thant evry mm on the map you could see one (only one unit poped out and that wasnt even all of them. So I did the last tatic I could think of. I did the same thing but with 1000's and 1000's of demo trucks I blew them all up (which was every single bit of posible land to gain on) and no units were killed so I came to the conlclution that this was caused by a glitch and I would never get the exact number of kills and death inless I did one think and that was: KILL EVERY UNIT I HAD SO I LOSED AND I DID THANKS TO MY SUICIDEING INVINCIBLE DREDNAUGHT

and I dont remeber what it said on the score sheet but it was the highest # of stats for everything I had ever seen (even on moded maps which is very surprising)

and even though I knew I won after that 10 or 12 hour experience of fighting off nexus attacks and watching my jets fry(you can imagine how many units this was ((not even conluding all the other of thousands of units involed in all the other many battles that happened that I wasnt involved in, in this skirmish))
) ... I just wish that it said, YOU ARE VICTORIES! oh well at least I won :p

Ps. I just edited the story so it makes more since; thank you for reading it

w00000000000t!! How about an easy way to find under water units :p ? It's really annoying scanning the seas. Regardless, thanks for the larger cloak detection feild.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

What chain reaction? :p

Oh, also: I did a nice battle yesterday. Not nearly as nice as Commander Jerkov's but I did well. Heck, 80% of the match was me, FL, VS 4 Brutal Nexus teams sprawled all over the map (my two allies somehow managed to not only push back a Nexus base nearby my northern allies, but pretty much destroy the base... all that was left was pretty much a power plant... I helped some though, because I figured it'd give me an advantage).

Here it is (copied from a board were I already talked about it... and advertised Robot Storm a tad in the process :p. Edited out the ads since it's pointlss here.):

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

2 Successful Robot Storm matches today, and one failed one (but I put up a damn good fight before dieing... got 4th ranking out of 8 :)).

The first was a normal 1v1 with the Freedom League (FL) and the Allied Leagion (AL) (Robot Storm's Soviet and Allied teams).

The OTHER rounds were me, FL,, with 2 Medium FL allies vs 5 Brutal Nexus bases. My allies were pretty much there to keep the enemies at bay, while I built up my base (nothing like getting rushed by 5 enemy teams before you are able to defend yourself well enough lol).

Needless to say, my allies eventually fell, but they crippled Blue Nexus, and did a decent amount of damage to Light Blue before falling. I had loads of Kirov Gunships by this point. I spied enemy Oar refineries, and a War Factory.

Things started to look bad when a portion of my Kirovs were destroyed, and the enemies were destroying my Hellfire Canons (0h n03s!).

Eventually, I spied another refinery, and hit the jackpot - 100000+ Oar. I began pouring out Kirovs and extra defenses :).

I decided if I didn't act fast, I'd have some Kirovs and defenses destroyed again, and my economy harmed some. So, I sent a fleet of 20 Kirovs (most nearly level 2, and some at level 2) at the Gray base near the center of the map. Gray was eliminated nicely. Before all those Kirovs fell, I also did a decent amount of damage to Light Blue, but nothing they couldn't recover from in 10 minutes :rolleyesl:.

When sending Kirovs, I always head straight for the conyard, destroy defenses that get in my path, enough Power Plants to knock out their AA Defenses, then hit their conyard. The other buildings fall once their AA units are gone. Any sensible person would do this :p.

Anywho, then finally, I built another 20 Kirov fleet, and let whatever wasn't level 2 level up (the map was freaking crawling with enemies durring this battle). Eventually, these Kirovs were assisted by 30 Ravager Tanks, 10 Devastator Tanks, and 20 Nova Platforms (spying Oar Refineries = joy). These were going to head to Light-Blue base, continue moving East, and then head North, to finish off the remaining Nexus forces.

I sent the Ravagers in to take out some anti-air, and maybe a few power plants, sent in the Devastator tanks in after a short time to help out, and had the Nove Platforms do some long-ranged attacking - to draw fire away from my Ravagers and Devastator tanks some. I did all that while my Kirovs moved in on Light Blue Base.

With the purple base in the South-East corner (Light Blue was in the south with me), I moved the Kirovs from a more frontal position instead, while the rest of the Army did their work.

I did the same to Green base as I did to Light Blue. I'll let the screenshot give my results :).

Not bad  Mine was Easy allies, though  Damn nice scoreline there tho. Suppose you needed Mediums because you were playing Freedom :) I invariably play Allied or NEXUS. I never play FL...Their style really does not suit me.

I must've misread your earlier post tho. I assumed you'd detonated a lot of demos in a radius...and they all exploded one another.

well my favourite war story of mine tok place on the bay of pigs, a brutal and 2 mediums vs me and two medium allies, both of which were allied legion and i was as well, and i was fighting freedom league.

well seeing as i had played that map many times i had already planned my tactics to try and hold the envitable storm, i build a solid line of defence comprising of just chrono towers, backed up with a line of pillboxes to stop infantry or tanks from getting to close, and i had 10 pulverisers lined up behind as well,

just to stop the enemy aircraft from reaking havoc amongst my base, i sent engineers to all the oil derricks on my half of the map, which totalled 13 oil derricks, the ones that were by the bridges i build a mass of chrono towers and illusion towers to keep it hidden from view, then i build my forward base where the four front oil derriks were and mased it with chrono towers and illusion towers and photon batteries, then i put men in all of the empty civilian buildings and pill boxes

and built substantial defences around them also, and whilst all of this building was happening the enemy had mounted a massive fleet of vehicles and naval vessels to come and get me, luckily it was a hoard of mortar tanks and scorpians, i managed to hold them off pretty easily, but noticing that the enemy now had access to both airfields on the middle of the map, i sent a fleet of vortex bombers to take them out, luckily the enemy hadnt built up any air drops yet, but then the annoying bio fighters made there annoying presence clear as they kept targetting my tanks on the front line, picking them of slowly one by one, is the most annoying tactic they use (except for masses of demolition vehicles) anyways,

then the enemy amassed another huge army in like, no time at all, before i had effictivly repaired my forces and defenses, and they started sending units over the bridges, mor mortar tanks and scorpians, so i had to rely on the two lighthouses, civilian buildings and the masses of chrono towers i had placed there, but to no avail, they massed over the chrono towers not giving them time to recharge and broke through, many of their vehicles were lost, fortunatly my allies were already begining to move their attack fleets over the bridges also and

mopped the reminance up, my allies attacks were prety effective at first, they caught the enemy as they started to recuperate their numbers, but their forces wre quickly dispatched by those bloody hellstorms, but noticing that my enemy had battle labs outside of their base, i quickly sent my spies to get to them, i had managed to get the unit that i wanted out of them, and i built it straight away, coming out with veteran status i sent it to the front line, my funds ran extremley thin at this point, i began to panic as i knew the next enemy attack would be devastating to repair costs, and after my spys infiltrated, they sent their patrols of guard dogs, so no stealing money from ore refinerys, no matter i thought, then

the worst actually happened, many many many devastators reared their ugly faces along the bridges, my defences were useless against their onslaught, and the two bridge outposts were dipatched, suddenly i began to panic, realising my defences had a flaw, my forward base had no rear defence and they caught me off guard, many men were lost that day, the masses of tanks they used was just

too much, even for the mightiest unit i had on the front lines, so before they killed it i self destructed it myself, taking as many of them out as i could, but they just kept coming, the civilian buildings didnt last long, the oil dericks on the front tho were still out of sight thanks to the illusion towers, the purple allies were first to be hit, i took this oppertunity to send a strike force comprising of chrono prisons, pulverisers and decimators across the middle of the map onto the enemy territory,

but i was greeted with an entire half of the map filled to the brim with hellstorms, my forces fate was sealed as they launched their bombardment ontomy men, they all died, but to my surprise, the enemy had not yet captured the forward oil deerriks, but i knew they would at some point so left them, and concentrated on defending myself, the purple base held out for quite a long time, but then fell, but the enemy had dwindelling numbers, they sent the reminence of their force over to the light blue ally next, they got pretty deep in the base nd cause some mighty damage, but they were effectivly repelled, i took this time to gain som needed cash and effected epairs to my forces, but to my surprise a fleet of kirov gunships had already made their way half way across the map and were coming for me,

i knew the small amount of pulverisers i had couldnt stop their gargantuan air fleet, so i had to rely on the might of the forward oil derricks and the photon batteries placed there, some of the kirovs were taken down, but got out of range to quickly, my pulverisers made short work of the damaged ones, but then they

penetrated the defensive line, they shot my tanks to pieces but a last pulveriser took out the last one, phew i thought but then the enemy had already sent a massive fleet of devastators, rocket jeeps, demo trucks up the center of the map, and i thought to myself "im so dead" the masses of them flooded the last of my allies and overwhelmed them, they were soon destroyed, we hadnt had much of a chance to attack, then they started attacking me, i held off the first wave of scorpians and mortar tanks easily, but what i didnt notice that amongst them

a rocket jeep snuck right onto my defensive line and blew it to hell, masses of the enemy swarmed in and i thought i was a gonner, but to my amazement, the combined efforts of my remaining vehicles and airforce destroyed the attacking forces, i sold up a few structures i didnt really need, and saw that the oil derriks next to the enemies base were still free, so i built up an illusion tower and readied 2 chrono transports, with four engineers and the rest with men, they transported

forward quickly unloaded and captured the derriks, then i quickly deployed the tower, hiding it from view, i knew with the extra cash i could build up my defenses again, so little by little, i built my force, litterally one unit at a time due to the extreme dent in my funds, the enemy sent up yet again more vehicles, my defensive line was once again ready for the oncoming storm, luckily there were no demo vehicles this time, so i took a deep sigh of relief, and kept building units,

one by one slowly, and chrono transporting them over to the forward oil derriks next to the enemy, my forward outpost outside of my base though fell at that point to my dismay, i kept repelling repelling repelling and building many units, until i had enough to effectivly launch an attack, i destroyed the bridges in hope to

slow them down a little, so the enemy began dispatching their engineers to repair them, of which time my oil derik base next to the enemy had two air bases, so i had vortex bombers, 40 of them including the ones inside my main base, launch an attack on the hell storms and nuclear power stations, their defences were crippled brifley which gave me tmie to sneak in engineers via chrono transport and take the enemies oil derriks they captured and built ilusion towers around them,

then i massed my units there and waited once again, my defencive line was improved hen i had once again built one of the stolen technology units, and had my commando and many many decimators guarding also, i was ready to attack, the foward vortex bombers suicide ran to dispatch the AA quad cannons they had built, then the other 32 frmo the main base swooped in and destroyed war factories and barrack and the con yard, the yellow enemy base as crippled, and

a massive chain reaction hapened when i destroyed one of their power stations, explosions went off everywhere and they were destroyed, i was happy with that turn out, so i moved my focus onto the next meduim enemy, the orange base, basically it was the same tactic repeated, i snuck men in and captured their oil derricks and hid them with illusion towers diabled their air defences and bombed them, but the brutal enemy was a bit more tough than that, but in the end i prevailed, the killcount and score was astronomicle,i cant remember how much

exactly but it was amazing, and the battle lasted way longer than it should of done, something like 2 hours, cause i kept having to slowly build a force, one by one, it was difficult, i thought i really was going to lose at one point, but won.
The end:P
