How did we get a bot giving answers..

This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Andre 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

In fact, it never even had a complete prototype. Of the 3 hulls ordered, only 2 were delivered, and as none of the 8 ordered turrets were manufactured, concrete circles were used to simulate their weight in trials.

I guess it just depends on how you look at it

Other then the turret it was full finished & working, it spent over two years going threw trials/R&D, I would class that as a prototype myself. Also some sources state that only one of the two hulls were completed, there isn’t enough information to say if it was one or two tho.

reading past post remided me of this, but are there going be a insane almost unstopable ai?

cause it never seems like you can get into matches with other players over the internet with mods so to be able to have a element of chalange there should be an insane ai.....jus my 2 cents anyways

If i have anything to say about it, there are going to be a lot of trauma's from losing from a single easy opponent

Nah.. it won't be THAT bad, but i'll do my very best to make the Ai as challenging as an above average human player.

I’m also looking into map specific AI scripts... this will make the AI set up defensive lines, choke points & patrols like in SP missions.

now that would be nice :)
a different challenge depending on the map etc, ai making the most of it's surroundings and whatnot.
very cool ;)

In theory it shouldn't be too hard, but then it would require pages & pages of scripting... :)

HEY! dont add any mor years to this mods production. :p

also is there going to be away for the ai to react to your movements correctly (instead of throwing 200,000 worth of air force into a group pf anti air)

if it could be done for a few maps at least it would be already great . Another nice addition would be "advantages" specific to certain maps , like I dunno , if there's a tall building like a church spire in a town, capturing it/garissoning it give the player a good view of a part of the map (vantage point). stuff like that.

but maybe it is needlessly complicated to do this :p

You can't AFAIK, you can do a lot with the AI but it's not that smart

Not really, only need to change one tag in the buildings code...

- - - - - - - - - [base]X - - - -< (plane) - - - atk. plan A.
-

^(plane)
-
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -atk. plan B.

And just make it shift plans every 3 times or somethin like that....
Soooo?... is it posible?

I probably could but that would require a crap load of scripting! I would have to replace the normal script in the AI.ini with a complex one unique for every map.

I’m only going to add map specific stuff as an add-on to Andre’s AI not replace it.
