Andre's the AI dude, so if anyone can pull out a killer AI, it'll be Andre. But personally, I think the AI should only have one thing to achieve: your destruction. So I can't really tell if different strategies will make much of a difference...but maybe implementing them with some real blitzkfrieg tactics that you get attacked with ground and air support coupled with naval bombardments...and perhaps make them camp and defend in some captured tech structures?

then at least make it use airplanes at different directions... let me show you...

                                  -  - -  -  -  -  -  -  -  [base]X  -  -  -  -< (plane) -  -  - atk. plan A.
                                  -
                                  -
                                  ^(plane)
                                  -
                                    -  -    -    -    -    -    -  -  -  -  -  -  -  -  -  -  -  -atk. plan B.

And just make it shift plans every 3 times or somethin like that....
Soooo?... is it posible?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

AFAIK not through the AI. Simultanious airstrikes are possibles though (and most likely going to be includded).

I probably could but that would require a crap load of scripting! I would have to replace the normal script in the AI.ini with a complex one unique for every map.

I’m only going to add map specific stuff as an add-on to Andre’s AI not replace it.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

The regular Ai will be tough enough without you having to add scripts to every map.

then what about it launching an artilery strike on the anti air before sending its airforce in?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Artilery strike is a superweapon and coordinating those with regular attacks is quite troublesome. I'll look into the possibilities, but for the moment i'm focussing on the coordinated airstrikes simply because they're faster and more adaptable

well, ill put my faith in him then to bring out the full potenial of this game's ai, anyways will there be a complex enough ai.ini so that it will use diferent stratigys depending on the year the battle is in?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

errm... *looks in Andres direction*

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

LOL, btw what happen to andea he hasn't been on in a while to my knowledge....

and is this hinting someing? ;)

Thx folks. Been out with the flu for a couple of days.

This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Andre 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

shame they didn't cancel each other out :p
give it to someone else, best way to get rid of it , like that guy you don't like at the office or something (everyone has one) :)

too bad for the arty sw, but for me it's just as well since it drove me nuts in generals

I cannot judge how bad you condition was, but anything which keeps me home for more than a day is pretty bad (i was home for nearly 2 weeks).

There have been occations i even went to work with a fever. I really hate sitting home and not being able to do anything than grab that bucket.

Check the technical info on the bottom of this page: http://www.panzerworld.net/maus.html This should help you get an idea of how huge the "Maus" would have been if actually taken into production.
