It would be great if I could get some ideas...
I mainly need ideas for the two new factions, but ideas for powers for the new heroes are also welcome :p

Okay, here are some ideas:

We could have a warglair/wargpit (maybe the same model as the existing one) where you can build wargs (same model as the neutral warg, but adjusted code) and that is guarded by baby wargs.

And we could have a trolllair/trollcave (maybe the same model as the existing one) where you can build cavetrolls (same model as the neutral cavetroll, but adjusted code) and this one would be guarded by baby trolls.

And the goblinpit would, logically, be guarded by some goblins.

With the spiderlair being guarded by baby spiders the goblin faction would have a special type of defense... every unit-production building would be guarded by a special version of the units you can build.

I like the idea of having your buildings guarded, but why babies ? simply put adults to defend (don't give them too much range though, they shouldn't be able to attack archers and such)

Ok, I have some new units for elves:

Elves:

High Elves (alredy existing, elite unit)

Elven Rangers (ranged unit, light, scout unit)

Noldor Bodyguard (double-edged staff, elite unit)-(I alredy have concept for it :lol: )

Elves (The ones in game, for Rohan. Medium unit)

Not very much new here... But it should be added, it's kind of boring with just 2 elven units.

Okay, I thought that today I would add some spellbook powers.
The problem was that I just didn't manage to come up with some unique ones... This is what I thought:
Elves:

                   Heal(1)                     Elven Gift(2)
ElvenAllies(3)            Cloudbreak(6)           ElvenWood(3)
Human Allies(Gondor and Rohan)      (6) Nature Allies (Ents and Eagles)(6)
                                   Army of the Dead(10)


Goblins:

        War Chant(1)           A new one...
Taint(4)         Call the Horde(4)         Industry(2)
      Fuel the Fires(6)       Devastation(4)
                  Balrog Summon(18)


The Elves is acceptable, though not perfect, and the Goblins seriously need some...

maybe a spell that could summon goblins that are fully upgraded. Maybe you can have an earthquake spell or one that could decrease speed and range of enemies in a designated area. it could be called darkness or something. for units, you could have like a berserker goblin with 2 swords and has an ability called berserk that will increase its attack and speed for 15 seconds, but you can't control it while its in berserk mode. thats all the ideas that i have for now. i might come up with some more later.

or one that could decrease speed and range of enemies in a designated area. it could be called darkness or something

alrighty, some more ideas for you sir. you could have a spell that could rain fire or a spell that could convert 1 regular unit to your side. it could be called twisted influence or something. you could have a spell that could increase heroes speed, attack, defense, and health. a great spell that i would like to see is a spell that could split the ground in a designated area and all the units there would fall in and die. its a little different from earthquake because earthquake damages units in a period of time. this spell is like an instant kill. hope these ideas are as good as the last ones. :dry:

I can give a long-lasting wormtounge to Mouth of Sauron

Well, I checked yer site and you really need more units for the elves. I got a couple ideas. You could have an elven scout that has a moderate attack, pretty fast and can get upgraded to shoot 2 arrows. you could also have elven cavalry that could have an ability to increase their speed and defense for a short time. Have you ever played the war of the ring? if you did, then you could have a unit like the elven lightbearer. that would be a good unit.

I have cavalry, I just haven't updated the site. They will be able to toggle weapons :sad:

I have to say that not all of our plans and ideas are on the site, mainly because we ourselves are not yet sure if and how we'll put them into the mod.

Have you ever played the war of the ring? if you did, then you could have a unit like the elven lightbearer. that would be a good unit.

But I have, and sure the lightbearer would be a good one, but I think it would be far too much time consuming since no other unit with good anims/skeleton exists, so we had to make a completely new one. And we try to keep us as close to the story as we can... and lightbearers aren't mentioned anywhere... but I have to agree it would be cool...

Oh, and a great compliment for all the good ideas, Mr. Ideas ;) !

hmm, not much ideas lately cause of all the finals i'm getting. once the weekend comes, than expect a lot ideas. here's one, since you moved treebeard and the ents to the elves, you could replace the entmoot with a dunedain tent that could create dunedain rangers and some kind of cavalry for them. the elves could be replaced with royal guards. you could make an unmount button for the rohirrim warriors.

well am not sure weather you can do this but

the elves could have oil spillers that put down a sort of flamable oil in a area and when a fire arrow attacks the spill it ignites and kills troops instantly in that area.

It may not be the weekend but here they are. A new unit for the elves could be an elven shieldmen. they are slow, think of the gonder tower guards but faster, but have high defense and a moderate attack. their main purpose is to combine with archers and provide an exellent defense. they are not meant to attack head on but more of stay back and defend the base kind of unit. For the goblins, shelob could have a spell that she can lay spider eggs. once they hatch, they burrow in the ground and all you can see is a web. if enemy units walk past them, the spider will come up and eat them then die. its like a one time deal thing. for isengard, you could have an uruk scout unit that is fast, has a large vision range, semi-moderate attack but very weak armor and can blend in with the trees. he job is to spy on enemy troops. A unit for mordor could be the fat orc with a giant mace like in the return of the king videogame. he could have an ability that will damage surrounding orcs but increase their speed, attack speed, attack, and defense. He could also have high defense and attack, but be slow. You could have theodred as a hero for rohan and could be llike the royal guard captain. For level 1, he could have a leadership bonus and mount. for level 3, he could have blademaster. For Level 6, he could have an ability called power slash. its just a regular slash but more powerful. Finally at level 8, he could summon 4 battalions of royal guards. For Gondor, you could have a spell that could Increase health and defense of all buildings, make the trebuchet more resistant to attacks and have more health, and make the walls made out of numenorion stone. it could be called wonders of numenor. someone else could rename it if they have a better name.
