#821116 Thank You

Posted by Grimson on 14 September 2010 - 05:50 PM in Open Topic

Piss off you whiny little cunt. Does an active, volatile forum scare you or something?

And what have you got against me? Do I need to remind you what this forum is for? Not for bashing or flaming, but for discussing gaming modifications and what else. Your impression of a "dull" and "boring" forum is ridiculous. Flaming is a useless tool for trolls to have their e-penis erect. If a forum has no idiots, why the fuck would you want them in? Just to bash them? What a pointless logic that makes you no better from the people you flame at.

It just means you've got nothing better to do on here, apparently.

Exactly.

I haven't paid a visit to Revora in many months, and this reminds me why.

Brian must be tired of that comment by now :D

#799776 Mother earth is rumbling these days

Posted by Grimson on 16 April 2010 - 05:50 PM in GNP Duke_Qa

Hmph, why are there always people who wish for the world to end? There were 4000 years ago, and there are today. If you feel things are bad, then do something instead of crying in the corner.

This isn't directed to anyone here, I just expressed my opinion. Oh, and big natural catastrophes happen every now and then, it's not like nature is going to revenge us or anything :D

edit: found a very nice picture of the volcano on a newsite

That's a picture of the Eyjafjallajökull (darn you icelanders, make up shorter names for geographical formations will ya?)? Creepy :o

#784306 Electronic Music

Posted by Grimson on 16 January 2010 - 09:05 PM in Media Discussion

I cannot outline my taste of music by any genre. I judge music by itself, or its creator. So I'll have to say yes, I do like some electronic music.

#774447 Global warming

Posted by Grimson on 02 December 2009 - 04:18 PM in GNP Articles

So is this just a reason not to reduce C02 emissions, replace the use of petrol in automobiles, or find alternative energy sources?

#773722 For science!

Why not just contribute to the developement of energy-efficient lamps?
*gets threatened with knife*
Okay, okay! Pogrom it is...

#773537 Does the way admins act...

Posted by Grimson on 28 November 2009 - 09:07 PM in Open Topic

What's the point of this thread, anyway? It'll turn into just another crapfest, me thinks.

#773141 Vote for the Prime Minister Here

Also, am I the only active member (not hosted/leader or anything else) around?

#773106 For science!

Posted by Grimson on 26 November 2009 - 04:21 PM in Open Topic

I thought I read a long time ago that the sky isn't filled with star light because of the age of the universe. If it were older, and wouldn't constantly expand like it's theorized (distance/space between stars grows larger), I'm sure the sky would be much brighter than it is now (more stars seem to form than collapse in a certain period of time).

Also, when the distance from the source of the light and the spectator gets bigger, the light doesn't get weaker. Instead, all the light waves emitted from the source scatter around, covering larger and larger area. Thus, the amount of light beams that hit a single spot decreases, and that spot gets less illuminated.

#772854 For science!

Posted by Grimson on 25 November 2009 - 02:48 PM in Open Topic

Surely this isn't a thread for you to do your homework and not think at all? :p

Anyway, the spoon reflects your face because the reflecting surface is concave. The back of the spoon is convex and will reflect your image right side up.

Good quoting from Wiki :p

and you Grimson!

The only thing I did with wiki was to check the name of the "focal point" and get the picture.

Good job for contributing to this thread :)

#772841 For science!

Posted by Grimson on 25 November 2009 - 01:30 PM in Open Topic

My first question is this: why does the concave side of a spoon reflect my face as upside down?

Because the light that bounces from the concave side of the spoon is focused in a spot, known as focal point
, in front of the concavity. The picture that will "form" into your eye will thus be upside down.

See this picture. Yeah I know, it's a lens, but the idea is the same. Only in a mirror (spoon) the light, obviously, wont pass trough it :p

This little rivalry you guys have is adorable. ^_^

A rivalry implies two equal opposing forces. :p

Which, in most cases, attract each other, no? ;)

#772637 Introducing...

Posted by Grimson on 24 November 2009 - 05:36 PM in Open Topic

And what deep direction does an introductory thread have again?

None, thus it should be over and a new thread made that continues your "discussion".
