Yeah, no. I was hoping they'd go and put their own spin on the story, but sliding it in between the two triologies... I suspect it will limit the entertainment value because they have to try and keep it somewhat related to the mood and themes of Jackson's films. Then again, I could be wrong. I'll look forward to seeing trailers giving us a taste.

public release of the latest Ayreon album today, and Arjen is nice enough to upload all the songs on youtube himself.
I'll just post one of the songs I liked the best from the listenings I've had of it so far.
Edit: they just made an official music video, so putting that in here.
They've released a 5-minute preview of Ghost in the shell film
Clint Mansell doing the soundtrack, I can't say I hear much of him in this preview clip, but I do approve. The mood looks right at least, only thing that can go wrong here is if the plot is too watered out.
Got family that's lived off playing jazz most of his life, so I guess that's good for someone . Not a super big fan myself, but the calmer ones do set a good mood.
Those songs show that sometimes it's good business to revisit old styles. At the very least it'll inject fresh perspectives into other kinds of music.
Another song from the upcoming Ayreon album, with a fitting name these days
Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how that works out for the republicans. Maybe the Indians should start to deport white people too
This is a interesting article on the topic of those who are being "Populistically Correct," a nice counter point to those screaming "PC": https://www.theguard...-brexit-britain
Which seems to be the US intelligence community's way of saying "We can fire 80% of your goons with 20 lines of information of what you guys did before the election. Why don't you get a grip?"
But to add a bit of guesswork to the events going on. It does seem that this is a direct consequence of Trump's bad relationship with the US intelligence services, combined with his disrespect for facts he didn't invent himself or get from the real president. I'm not sure if this will be big enough to force him out of the white house though. Most likely I'm betting the intelligence services would prefer not to have him leave but do as the Russians and keep a sword dangling over his head to control him.
Not that I'd feel much safer about such a scenario in the long run. Tens of thousand of intelligence operatives pulling the strings on the president isn't very democratic.
Seems the tactic is to pile as much bullshit and drama on top of the insidious policies like institutionalized racism and discrimination. That way they can get enough outrage to get the vote without having to answer for the shit we've been warned about for decades.
Yeah, it seems there's no vision for the future in these posts, just gloating over something I don't see them envisioning beyond "dum liberuls lost hurr durr." Contemporary luddism maybe?
One might suspect they have finished prepping their doomsday bunker, invited their cousin over and are trying to make the world go to hell, so they finally can lose their virginity and be right about something for once
If that's the effect the truth has on you you've been consuming too much fake news in the vein of CNN, NBC, FOX, etc. Did you believe the media when they were shilling for the Iraqi WMDs, or the Libya aggression, or the Syria aggression? I hope you have at least as much skepticism for the fake news as you do Trump.
Well first of all I'm done defending well known media outlets that try their best at having sources, so I'll boomerang the accusation back: How do you know your sources are anything but Russian sponsored propaganda that is designed to nitpick their way into average anti-vaxxer brains? You don't come with sources of your claims. you just come with accusations of the journalistic pillars we got, which is easy to do.
I can say you're probably just a Russian tween that aced English classes and now have a perfectly well paid job fighting against the West for your overlords, and these words hold just as much weight as yours currently do. More probably: You've been a member since a week ago, and me myself and others here have been around for years, so I suspect that my accusation might just be the case.
Continuing on Mathijs train of thought with my own.
I'd assume most supporters are just trolling and respond with more social and economically invasive policies. Movements where the needs of the few are sacrificed for the needs of the many. Good old liberalism where "individual freedom is the holiest of virtues," should be rescinded until further notice, at least economic liberalism. The President Bannon supporters doesn't want it for those that aren't in their tribe/group, so why should we let them have it on their own?
We're all in the same boat, and until we got the technology to change that, we have to keep the selfish ones from going Lord of the Flies on us all. The market is a poor master but a good servant. Liberalism might be a beacon in the night to sail for, but you can't let the few that has cheated the system reap the rewards of a system designed for them, while they leave 99% behind to fight among themselves for the scraps.
Basically, we have to postpone the notion of some imminent liberal utopia to suppress the zero-sum greed that consumes the so-called alt/populistic right. The current "liberals" or red-wine socialists who run many of those political parties have failed to make meaningful policy changes and have sent the people who trusted them into poverty. They have drunk too much from the right's poisoned chalice of conservatism.
Refugee crisis is defused now that Trump has gotten Saudis to agree to housing them. Two phone calls. Think of the millions saved for America and Europe now that the inbred numbskulls of the middle east will be staying there! Obama didn't even try.
All I can see on the subject is that Bannon's Tv-head has called and they agreed on making Syrian/Yemen "safe zones," which implies at best that they don't want any refugees in SA, at worst that they'll send troops in with the US to create safe zones. Which is pretty close to what was done in Libya. Most likely it's just air with no action.
Well if you ever let critique sink in you might have become something
Either way, not a bad song. Doubt the rest of the game follows in the same veins.
(skip to 1.03 or so, if you don't want the noisy intro and interview.)
Teardrop is still a nice song, and Aurora has the right stuff to cover it.
I'd define that as gimmicky, not awesome
Have been listening to the Hamilton soundtrack as of late, which is a pretty good example of how to make history interesting and relevant, especially for Americans who maybe doesn't really care much for it.
It will be very interesting to see Lin-Manuel's influence on the Kingkiller TV-series when that comes.
I keep seeing people going "aw libtards are so sad" and I wonder if they know that in the core of our democratic nations, liberalism is what allows us to speak that way to one another without fearing for our lives. I'm beginning to think that some "Non-liberals" people need to be reminded of this these days, but it seems they are hedging their bets on shooting first.
Jonathan Pie videos will be useful distractions as well for the next years.
So far my biggest worries has been that he is not able to let things go, "Alternate Facts", and puppets applauding his press conferences.
First thing I've got to say is get a Zoom recorder/microphone and eventually some microphones on top of that, but the Zoom alone should be able to get both of your voices without picking in too much noise and not being in your faces.
Eventually get a sound dampening cloth to cover the back of the room to reduce reverberation.
Also, did you record this directly on the camera? Why not use OBS studio or some other streaming program to record and add the audio source of the computer directly to the video after recording? Of course, you then probably should get some earplugs to listen to the sound yourselves to avoid having it bleed into the voice recording.
Beyond that, I can imagine this might work with some polish. I'm mentioning all sound improvements because to me sound is vital to having the patience to listen to someone do basically a podcast with some video
