Did you try building another hero first? I don't think there's enough places in the commandset of the fortress, so Haldir should "take over" a spot if another hero is created. If that doesn't work, post ALL of your codes :) You could add the hero's ini as an attachement :p

As the icon appears for a short amount of time, maybe you added HERO to the unit, instead of the horde?

Where do you place your modded files? if you use a -mod command, all of the gamedata stuff must be plaaced in ini\object. Don't know if it would cause that error, though...

why there stands 45 30 and 6000 6500??? i have never seen that it gamedate :p

It's a ; between them, and stuff after a ; isn't read by the game. In gamedata.ini it's probably a patch (trying to) balancing the game

i can't agree with you there King of the Universe :p ,

i've done it a few days ago.
in gamedata.ini you can change values of the entire battalion, but not the cost of 1 unit.

I thought he was talking about heroes. My bad :p

for heroes you need to change it in Gamedata.ini

That's wrong

Just ctrl+b "CommandPoints" (without quotes :D)

I got that.Anyway Universal king thx for the tips they have really helped i have made some changes on Isen and moving on.Thx.

Hey i am working in heaven and hell mod(just started) and i want to make some changes on the existed fanctions.I have started with Isen.

Such an advanced mod may be a bit too much if you need help on this topic, but I'll give it a go :D

Can anyone tell me in which file can i find Lurts's and the other heroes

data\ini\object(good/evil)faction*name of faction*\*name of hero*.ini

and units cost,

defined in gamedata.ini.

attack,

data\ini\weapon.ini

def.

data\ini\armor.ini



Hope that helps :p
If you look in the hero's ini says which predefined values to use, which weapon, armor etc. ;)

I dont want this mod to be huge because i know thats where a lot of problems happens, so i only want 3 factions in it-however they will all be totally different to existing factions except maybe some units where relevant may be used.

That is huge :p

You made the button Command_ConstructSiegeDragon and in the commandset probably put Command_PurchaseSiegeDragon as that's your error.


And texts in lotr.str?

That doesn't give any error. Just show MISSING:*yourstringname* ingame ;)

I don't have ROTWK, so I wouldn't know, but is ArnorFortress the correct name?

When I read your post again. You get into the game, but the fortress is invisible?

Some time ago Matias and I had a nice concept which is a bit like your Hero Mod, which is to add more heroes to the game, and improve gameplay without adding lots of new units or things (say, a large patch).
Quite frankly, I'm out of modding and not going to do anything with it. Maybe you could absorb some of the ideas in your Hero Mod. :p

Sure, I'd love to :p

Mess with the wall's armor. Find out which armor the wall is using, and edit it in armor.ini
