Confused with Extracted Files

Best Answer Rider of Rohan, 28 May 2015 - 06:32 PM

Lurt's files are located in the 'UI' folder, a misplacement on EA's part.
Do not drag and drop your files into w3d viewer, open them via the open button in the viewer and select the multiple w3d files you want to view from there.

Hey I'm having some issues putting all the files and textures together once extracted using realbig

Problem 1

So for example I am trying to view the Lurtz model, I found it in w3d.big once extracted in the folder iu, and called iulurtz_whatever.w3d

But I cant find the texture, there is no iulrtz.dds texture in the iu folder (art/textures2/compiledtextures/iu) A search of my texture folders gives me a hc_iulurtz.jpg and png but no .dds files,

So wheres this texture hiding?

Problem 2

I'm trying to get all the dwarf models together (art/w3d/du), but some of them like the phalanx or gloin are missing attack and other animations, Where can I find these?

Are you extracting the files from BFME2 or Rise of the Witch King?

BFME2 , havent installed witch king yet.

Thank you they were indeed in UI instead of IU.. fail.

Any idea why the phalanx and others are missing animations? Also why use open and not drag and drop? i  think using open hasn't worked right sometimes with the textures.

Edit:

Nvm I see what youre using the open folder button fixed the phalanx animations, they are all there now. Thank you

In my experience, drag and drop works fine as long as you select the _skn file as your primary file and drag your selected files by dragging that file specifically, if that makes sense. :p
