C&C ZH Losing connection 1 second after trying to log in - Phil?

Hey guys,

I'm having issues with my game since a couple of months now and thought I might just bother you with my problem right now.

Whenever I try to log in with my user account I briefly see the ladder and my stats summary plus the buttons for "Quickmatch" "lobby" etc but just after 1 second it tells me that it lost the connection to Zero Hour online.

My last login attempt was at 17:46 Berlin time. Do you have any suggestions?

Windows 7

Regular Zero Hour v1.04 + Generals installed

Can you try to log in again and then post in here immediately afterwards, so I can find the attempt in the log?

Thank you.    I've found that in the log.     It looks like a fault at our end caused by an illegal character coming from somewhere during the log in process.     I cannot see exactly where that illegal character is.     I'll think I am going to have to call for some help from some of the other guys here.    

Your password doesn't look like the kind of password that would cause problems like that.      Could I ask you to try removing the first two characters (they are the same) and see whether that makes any difference.     It's just a long shot though.

I will try deleting the first two characters of my password now.

Just tried it again and had the same result, getting kicked out after 1 second.

Presumably you didn't change anything (particularly your computer or your email address or the language settings on your keyboard) just before it stopped working?     

I guess you could try logging in with a different nick name too.      I don't think we are going to solve the problem like this but it might help eliminate some possibilities.   

It's been a long time since it stopped working. I reformated my computer at least twice in a bid to get it workign again. I just tried it with the two different language settings i have configured in windows for my keyboard (German/English) without success.

I got two more hdds in the last 6 months. The new ones I just unplugged. No change.

The E-Mail address has remained unchanged.

The error seems to happen with this nick name; biggangstahood.     When you tried with the 1nnos nick name, the error didn't occur but you lost connection instead.    Could you try again with a different nick name and wait until you get fully disconnected (if you do)?

Just tried again with a new nick (Loginporns), same as with Biggangstahood, disconect after 1 second.

Seems to me like I cant login when the nickname starts with a number. I can login for one second, however, when the nick starts with a regular letter.When I use a number to start the nick I will also get bugged as "1".

Hmm I think the error can be solved from our side, but I'm wondering why it is happening.

Do you have some VPN clients or other network software installed that could potentially effect network packages?

Can you tell us which codepage is active?

You can find it via start -> cmd.exe -> chcp [enter]

Active Codepage 850.

No VPN nor anything else is installed.
