Sounds like you didn't install Mental Omega in Red Alert 2 directory. Go to the full post

I installed the new public beta released today and upon startup I was given an Error Msg stating that Binkw32.dll is missing

I used a program called DLL Files Fixer to install Binkw32.dll o my computer

I tried to start Mental Omega 3.0 again and a new Error Msg appeared stating, "The procedure entry point _BinkSetVolume@8 could not be located in the dynamic link library binkw32.dll"

I have a feeling that if I am given a fix to this problem, another Error Msg will likely arise and the problem will persist.

Interesting... As far as I know these dll file missings are usually connected to the os.

Now questions:

1.What os are you using?

2.What kind of RA2 YR (XWIS, pirated etc.) are you using?

3.Is your MO files within your RA2 directory?

4.Have you tried to reinstall the whole game?

He didn't say about the MO directory, so I asked it.

That would be the problem. Thank you all for your support in this. When I installed it, I payed less attention to the directory I installed it too.

It installed to "a" RA2 directory, but not "the" RA2 directory.

1.What os are you using?

2.What kind of RA2 YR (XWIS, pirated etc.) are you using?

3.Is your MO files within your RA2 directory?

4.Have you tried to reinstall the whole game?

  1. Windows 7
  2. XWIS, Physical Authentic Non-Pirated
  3. I answered this above
  4. No but I'll have to do this and reinstall it to the actual RA2 Dir

Okay, new problem.

I've installed MO to the correct directory.

However upon startup I get the following Error Msg:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------[  x  ]

gamemo.exe - Application Error

( X )   The appication was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). Click OK to

          close the application

                                                                                                      [       OK       ]

Remove wsock32.dll from directory before starting the game.

I hope that doesnt affect the regular installments of RA2 and YR.

just in case it does I'm going to save it in a separate directory.

***EDIT***

Okay you're right, Thank you Speeder!

Your game is beyond awesome!

One question though, how do I install the soundtrack which you released separately?

Extract the file to the directory you installed MO in.
