Almost all of these ships are referred to as "8-km SSDs" in the novels. The only one I know of that is specifically Executor-class is Lusankya.

Here's a little thing I'd like to throw out:
Since the Executor-Class has been decided at 19,000 meters, any reference to an Executor being another length should be assumed as incorrect. However, what if a ship is not specifically described as an Executor-Class, or is not already confirmed as such? Say, for example, a book mentioned an '8-kilometer ship', but didn't say it was an Executor. In that case, I would say it would then be another class of ship.

Zonama Sekot? Well, there are inconsistencies in the NJO... it's inevitable with so many different authors.

i don't remember the book name, but this reference is from when luke and his group leave to find the planet whose name is too annoying to remember (i never liked those books, i prefer zahn)

Hmm, I'm pretty sure the New Republic captured it. I don't think they just gave it back - at least not prior to the GA - so it would've still been around during Borleias.

An interesting note on the Guardian: I'm pretty sure it's specifically stated in the NJO that Lusankya is the most powerful ship in NR control after Coruscant fell. That would indicate that either it was more modified (I've found indications of hull and shield additions), or more likely, the Guardian is simply smaller.

Srry Im dragging this old topic up, but the Gaurdian is an IR ship, NOT a NR ship, since it is Palleon's flag when the Vong attack the remnant. So it could still be an executor class, after all, the remnant was no longer fighting the republic so they didn't have to replace destroyed units, so they could spend their resources on other projects, and while the remnant was not nearly as large as the empire use to be, it was still huge on a practical scale, so they should have had no problem coming up with the resources. Besides, if it is your flag ship for the entire fleet, which would you choose?

Well, a few of the ships are in the mod as hero transports, yes.

Are you planning to put these ships in as part of the GCs?

We're not debating the Executor though; we're debating the other SSDs.

Maybe, but in The Empire Strikes Back, it was 19km long. The difference between the executor and those isds who look like corvettes is absolute. It doesn't matter what some writer says in his books, it matters what george lucas is showing you. :)
