Yeah that's what I did.

Here it is, in case anyone else needs it. Just put it in the PR XML folder(s).

It had to do with adding an XML folder and putting a Graphics something or other XML in it.

I did fix the Vista 64 issue for the next version. Kind of sad it's still not been done officially though.

Vista is weird like that, I've heard similar stories where Vista 32 likes to pretend it's Vista 64.

You know that's happened a lot with me...

Getting supposed Vista 64 problems when I have Vista 32.

Makes about as much sense as anything else does when it comes to fixing computer problems.

Got the new card; all is well.

I had a problem with getting PR/FoC to work actually at first, it had an exception everytime I started the game. All my other games worked.

Then I looked up the error I got in the log and....well this doesn't make any sense, the error I found happens when trying to play FoC on Vista 64...I have Vista 32, and the error occurred due to my new graphics card. (Well, it happened after I installed the new card, so that had to be the reason).

Regardless, in desperation, I did the fix they gave and it worked.

It made as much sense as getting a flat tire and fixing it by changing the car battery. No fucking clue how that worked, but it did, so I ain't complainin`.

The price difference between the 1GB 4670 and 9500GT 1GB is only 10$. But it's your choice

I could always return it. For now as long as the 9500 GT is an improvement in some way I can deal. I just want to know how much of an improvement compared to the 8500 GT when you consider it relatively and also the games I play.

Just the hell of going through safe mode and uninstalling drivers...feel like I'd severely fuck something up. I don't trust myself enough.

And according to you the wattage is fine and it should work.

It's not me, it are the reviews and the PSU calculator.

The only issue I'm having now is whether the upgrade is worth it...I mean it will be better, I know that, but for me it really depends on how much. It has twice as many cores as the 8500 GT, plus the bonus of having 1 gig of RAM (my 8500 GT has 264mb or something, just 1/4th). I'd estimate it should be roughly twice as good at the very least, and seeing how my comp acts now with the 8500 GT it would be a great improvement considering the games I play.

I mean I don't play Crysis nor do I intend to or anything. The only games I regularly play are Phoenix Rising, Warzone 2100 (which will run on fucking anything rofl, it runs on my old GeForce 4000 just fine), STALKER Shadow of Chernobyl (which plays smoothly at around 90% stats), and Supreme Commander (which is more of a CPU hog than anything.).

The only game I'm looking forward to is Supreme Commander 2, and if they keep their word it will be less demanding on graphics cards at least, so really for me and what I play the 9500 GT is a good improvement, strictly relatively speaking.

And even then if I get around to considering the Radeon card/cards you suggested and I'm willing to trust myself with going through the hell of uninstalling drivers in safe mode I can always return the 9500 GT to Amazon.
