Could be a targeting issue. Some are meant to get absorbed or deflected though.

Will do - maybe a map bug but it seemed that no laser blasts were hitting him - perhaps dark jedi had the same problem? He can't match either for damage due to the short saber. Granted, he's got more hitpoints than Sidious, but it'd be a close fight between the two. Vader alone should win hands down, albeit coming out badly injured. Something doesn't add up... if it happens again, more details would be helpful.

Possibly - but it was the first time I have actually seen health bar going to 1/3...I think he may need a tiny nerf.

He killed Vader and Palpatine at the same time? That shouldn't happen (unless Rebels had some serious infantry bonuses).

After a thourough investigation I must say - yes, heroes are good as they are (fighter squadrons heroes are actually slightly too weak i think) - it is just Yoda who is indestructible - he owed my Vader + Palpatine + army of AT-ATs AT-STs and infantry....There is just no way of killing him - just wait untill he starts retreating as a last unit on the battlefield and dies as a result...

I quite like how heroes are. I tend to use them more for their leadership bonuses, especially in space where they can drop stuff behind you.
I think it's more that an AI can never really learn things like kiting and such that the player can use against their heroes.

the system isn't perfect.
Yeah but it beats the "insert appropriate insanity"!!!! out of how heroes were in 1.1.

It's kind of hard to make that assessment using Yoda, Grand Master and most powerful Rebel hero available. Still, I think you're right... the system isn't perfect.

As title says - I think that some heroes could use a little nerf.
For example in my Outer Rim Campaign I conquered heavily defended Eriadu with Yoda alone. He is very slow moving so it took me a while but enemy was hopless and at the end Yoda lost about 1/10 of his HP....
I know thay are called heroes for a reason especially Jedi, but they should really support the army, not be army on their own.
