On the contrary, I've seen it in the battle of Endor, it's in the background, you just took it for a star cause it's sized four 4 pixels. But it's there, I've seen it.

There is not now, and never has been, a Victory-class star destroyer.

I can't disagree.

Even with the way he's done Trek poorly, Abrams is more likely to do it right than LFL.

After TCW, I haven't exactly had a lot of faith in LFL. So from my point of view, Disney and Abrams haven't made me nearly as nervous as LFL has. Though this "films, films, and more films" mindset disappoints me a lot, because Star Wars is far more than just films and television to me.

What it boils down to is simple: The companies in charge are not trusted to do it right for the current fanbase.

And if Jar Jar Abrams reboot of trek has shown anything, the new SW trilogy will be inviting us older fans to step out of the fanbase and not come back.

Here's an interesting interview showcasing the perspective of an author (Jason Fry) who has been instrumental in the creation of reference books and the like. http://eleven-thirty...-point-of-view/

Aizen, during the run of SW books, lucasarts REQUIRED the books fit into an established continuity and to not not contradict eachother.

Whereas Trek never had any attempt at that, outside of an individual series of books.

When it comes down to it, at a certain point it all becomes a personal choice/belief. Despite what Lucas or Disney or anyone else says each person is going to have there own view on what/how things have happened over the years in our beloved make believe universe. And that is one if the beautiful things about fiction verse reality, we can all have our interpretation of fiction.

I have the smallest if hopes that we will get a Shadows of the Empire animation or some such. I remember reading some where that Lucas liked the story a lot and claimed he would have made it a movie if it had been out around the original movies
