Yeah. I just realized the Kamino battle was actually a retcon for the Thrawn Trilogy where Pellaeon talked about clones disparagingly. So maybe it's just their technical sense that's warped.

While the story was a bunch of retconning, it does actually fit in with the other stuff I know with relative ease, at least. Such as explaining why 501st wasn't guarding the Death Star and such.

Some designer at Pandemic isn't going to think like that though. I guarantee they said, "Hey, you know what would be cool? Let's make stormtroopers and clone troopers fight! And let's throw Fett in the middle of it for good measure. We'll make LFL come up with a reason later."

Actually, it might have been planned to reduce the supply of cloned stormies. I've always wondered about that, and it makes sense. Still, once would have been good, but every planet?

True, but it was fun. The space battles are the best part for me personally.

Okay, to be fair, I actually haven't played it, but the fact that their campaign is all over the timeline suggests retconning to me. You can't tell me Boba Fett and stormtroopers fighting clone troopers was added because it was plausible though :p.

Well I believe the Legacy of the Force series runs with that as Boba Fett returns to Kamino, if I remember correctly. The planet is mostly abandoned (As a result of lost trade with the Empire?), and I think somewhat war-torn.

I don't think it's a bad idea. I mean, the Kaminoans were responsible for the education and indoctrination of the Fett clones, so I think it's plausible tried to rebel against what the Empire was trying to do (i.e. Take over the galaxy and kill everyone for no reason and all that).

I've come to the conclusion that either
A: you skipped all the starting cut scenes and the Space Battles.
Or...
B: I'm misunderstanding you. :p

That's not the point. The point is that, for some reason, every planet from the prequels, and the trilogy, was in the game, but no other planets. It seems sort of contrived. Why did all the movie planets make it in, but no others? This is actually far too common, and I'm still mad about how they butchered Kashykk.

Well, I don't know if I'd give Battlefront II that much credit... BF2 is a typical post-RotS game that uses locations from the film without any really good in-universe explanation as to why (I'm sure you're familiar with another game like that). It was probably heavily retconned to make any sense at all; you'd be appalled at what they did with vehicles, for example, so I doubt it's that coherent.

They actually gave some good reasons for being on the places they were on. Mustafar, kill a CIS leader that found a droid factory to make his own personal army. Kamino, a Republic-like clone army bred by the Kaminoans to fight the Empire. And so on.

I'm not against adding it, but it may need to be one-of-a-kind.

I read the comic that appears in...I never saw any other modified Providence-class ships.
