It won't change the basic nature of auto-resolve, but you should see fewer strange results. A future revamp is planned to further improve things, although it's more radical and may not work.

I'm pretty sure this has been addressed since I rewrote the auto-resolve script in conjunction with the AI changes.

Three rebel infiltrators raiding any combination of fortifications and garrison will always win. It's rare that they'll take a single casualty in the process. Two in a raid have only failed me once--raiding Byss with both resident dark Jedi present. I'm close to rolling up the entire GFFA, and I've only fought space actions because I felt like it.
