If we added trainable indigenous infantry forces we would swiftly run out of build icon space and have the same problem as we do for starships.

I would surmise that he meant removing them as scenario integrated units i.e. units that are not yours to control beyond the scope of the battle; galactic units being fully capable of travel they can be used anywhere making them fully part of your forces.

But we cannot build/recruit indigenous forces such as wookies, noghri, etc in this version of the mod.

We have removed spawning local forces like that so that we can place them in galactic mode instead. They may make a return at some point in the future.

What is the difference between galactic mode and the campaigns?

I was playing The Outer Rim Campaign tonight as the Rebellion. I conquered the space around Imperial controlled Endor and Sullust, but when I invaded the planets there were no Ewoks nor Sullustans respectively!  Is that a bug or how the game was intended to be?  I know there were present in other versions of the game.  I was really looking forward to having the locals help me conquer those planets!
