Look through the xml where you modified it, there should be a / or < or > missing or a word misspelled.

alright i think i fixed the airspeeder research bug, but i can't test it, because every time i launch the game with a .xml in the xml folder the game crashes in the middle of the PR loading screen, any idea's?

The first set is the base for the ship. The second set, in the variants, is the complement added in.

Ah yes, the Empire faction-specific variant will override the base model. Glad you got it working.

Ahh yes, I've finally fixed the problem...there seems to be a second set of build time/cost for both GC and skirmish for the executor in the same xml file. After that, the change worked in-game...

Thanks for everything

Your changes seem correct. Have you tried modifying the skirmish build settings to see if it works there? You're doing everything right as far as I can tell, it's very strange that it's not working.

Yes I've checked everything. I only changed the unit price and build time to a reasonable amount for the executor in GC mode, however when I tested the mod and played the GC that contained the unit, the prices and build times were unaffected.

I have a screenshot of the edited part of the executor.xml file attached...

Strange, it seems to have the correct name. You have it in the right folder. Are you sure the edits aren't showing up? You have the right pre-requisite facilities and research? It may be that your edit of this one file isn't enough to achieve what you want.

I was able to extract the xml file out of the config file, and I edited the executor xml file. I then proceeded to copy the edited executor xml from the xml folder from which it has been extracted and put it into the XML file(in the mod data folder) that was used for the RAM patch, thinking that it would override the current executor file inside the config just like the "gameconstants" and "graphicdetails" that came with the RAM patch did ; I realized it didn't.

Plz refer to the attached .png image showing the edited executor.xml(highlighted) in the RAM patch XML folder that also contained the graphicdetails and gameconstants files and the file path at the top which has also been highlighted.

I need solutions as to what I'm doing wrong...thanks
