Sorry - yes Operation Shadow Hand.
I must have too many campaigns rattling around in my head.

If it helps I think in terms of OSK and OSH.

Operation Shadow Hand was added first, so that became OSH. Then we added Operation Skyhook, so that's... OS? I don't know; it's a huge problem when referring to the campaigns!

Don't you mean Shadow Hand? Skyhook was the DS1 plans.

But in the beginning, can't the Sovereign just go around to say, Kuat and Mon Calamari and kill everything bigger than a freighter? I mean, the Class 3 Hyperdrive somewhat impedes that, but the Sovereign can just jump in, Superlaser anything bigger than a freighter and retreat from the bombers because they take several centuries to take down the Dreadnought. This pretty must reduces the NR fleet to freighters and bombers, and such non-diversified fleets can be beaten relatively easily (Lancers + Dreadnoughts?).

Not any more. We have redone Operation Skyhook. :p More planets, much nastier. I'm in final test stages, will report soon.

Nah. Go look up the armor matrices in the constants and it might make more sense what I'm referring to. Ships should never arbitrarily take more or less damage though... that would largely defeat the whole purpose of our combat system.

Probably something to do with Star Dreadnaughts taking more damage from capital ships or something?

No.

Meaning Torpedoes are getting a damage boost? I'm usually a capital ship person, and from my end, bombers are annoying enough already.

I'm tentatively planning on changing how armor classes work for v1.3. That's about all I can say at this point.

If you're the player, yes. You can abuse things such as that, because the AI isn't so great. Versus another player (If it would ever happen), however, that wouldn't be very viable. Especially since retreating will involve auto-resolve, which is always iffy.
