Here in England we get shot for listening to them because they're entirely EMO.

So? :p Well, they're not my prefered choice of music either... But c'mon, there's ALOT of bands out there that are TONS more emo than them... :)

And what do ya chaps have against emos anyway? If they're worth shooting...

To be truthfull what is a emo, i get called a emo, a chav, a wigga (no racial comments meant), a gangsta, a greb and a metal head lol. And i cannot decide on what i actualy am. I agree with mullers we do get ripped for listenting to them, But we also do for death metal bands or black metal (if only i lived in finland or norway) :p

Well then I'll have to check out some bands when I go to Norway this summer (So freaken exited)

And there are a lot of emo bands out there and a lot of them are actually pretty good. And turb I get called emo too sometimes (b/c I'm in art :p). I don't get it. And people don't actually understand that emo means emotional. Not somewone who cuts themselves... ;)

Also I'm starting to like Taking Back Sunday more.

:p

Now, that'll just have to depend... :p

Not totally sure about Helsinki... But one thing is sure, there's a lot of good bands up here...

There's some good bands in Norway, like Dimmu Borgir and The Kovenant...
Sweden has got some really good bands too... At least, I know more good bands from Sweden than from Norway or Finland...

But... I don't really like the finish bands... But then again, I haven't heard many finish bands...

But I don't like the famous ones like Lordi, HIM (or Nightwish, if counted as a rock band)... Just not my style... ;)

Anyone who knows a good Metal band from Finland? :p I'd like to explore that territory...

And people don't actually understand that emo means emotional. Not somewone who cuts themselves... ;)

Very true...

well, exept the ones you didn't like(well, only HIM, don't really like Lordi, but NW's okay), there's always The 69 Eyes, and.... well, probably more, but a "metal" band, Apocalyptica, is very very good ;) I know, they play on cellos (spelling? dunno) and those "classic" instruments.... very good at it too, and it's kindof a wannabe metal band  search youtube, they've got it all ;) :p

EDIT: but, if you want a "real" metal band, like heavy dark black metal, or something that way, I don't know many finish ;) Those bands are.... neutral too me :D don't care where they come from ;)

I do, I like dance, trance, happy hardcore, gothmetal, some rock maybe and more stuff I'm not sure which genre it belongs to (but who cares, it sounds good :p). I like a wide variety of genres really. The things I don't like are R&B and hiphop.

I kinda listen to the most between punkrock and black metal... Absolutely prefered music is metal though... (most soundtracks for movies and games are pretty good too)

But I don't do HipHop/rap/R&B/dance/country... ;)

Circle of dead Children is good... :p But Venom just doesn't cut it for me... They're pretty bad imo... ;)
Haven't heard The 69 Eyes nor Suffokate (sure you don't mean Suffocation?)... I'll try 'em out

EDIT: meeehhhh... me sad... I managed to wreck my headphones (at least I think that's what it's called)... So now only the left side works... I'm amazed how much worse all my music sounds

I'll hafta buy a new pair... Quick! :p :p

hell yeah! :p

anyways, any of you've heard about Summoning? I haven't heard then yet, but when I look at the Lyrics, you can easily see what's it about
Quoted from Wikipedia

Summoning is an Austrian epic/atmospheric black metal band. Their style has been described as 'Tolkien metal' - not without reason, for the lyrics on most of the albums they have published yet deals with the mythological world of J. R. R. Tolkien. The notable exception being Stronghold.

and some of their albums

Lugburz
Minas Morgul
Lugburz
Minas Morgul
Dol Guldur
Lost Tales

is it just me, or do something acctually sound familiar?
