This is the topic where you post your bugs! Please don't just post some text like "Angmar AI Broken", I need a bit more information, such as: "While playing the ***** Map, the Angmar AI did not construct any buildings". Seriously, it only takes 5 more seconds to type!



KNOWN BUGS:
Gamling has no powers. WILL BE FIXED IN RELEASE 2
The Rohan AI does not build the entmoot, so they don't have seige. WILL BE FIXED IN RELEASE 2
The Rohan Wall hub does not build properly when built on fortress expansion pad. WILL BE FIXED IN RELEASE 2
The Rohan Cliff Cap is actually a Gondor Wall.WILL BE FIXED IN RELEASE 2
Rohan doesn't work properly in Fortress maps. WILL BE FIXED IN RELEASE 2
The Heros who are supposed to die from the "Summon Fellowship" power are reviveable. WILL BE FIXED IN RELEASE 2
Rohan spearman come with a gonder banner carrier and a rohan one. I need to look into this.

ok, this is in helmsdeep with rohan

1. while playing as Rohan in helmsdeep the Royal Guards have a green glow( when in forged blades) and all other units have blue glow.
2. the fellowship heros(not hobbits) can be reborn in fortress with out useing the summon power.

3. you can build fortress in helmsdeep

4. this isenguard unit(bererker) had no click button, could not be killed and went through walls,gate.

5. Rohan spearman come with a gonder banner carrier and a rohan one.

Thats all i found(besids what you listed) i can post screenshots of the bugs if you want

Oops, forgot to mention: The Rohan faction hasn't been edited to work on any of the fortress maps... Yet. Expect to see it fixed in release 2. As for the heroes being revive able, that is my fault (a bit lazy). IF forgot to remove the Revive module, in fact, it totally escaped my mind. The Rohan Spearmen: My fault as well, forgot to change that. The Royal guards are SUPPOSED to have a green blade. As for the berserker, I have no clue whats up with that. I didn't edit any of those codes...

this is not a bug but i think is wrong,the rohirim don´t have shields,you should fix that,also put them them shield upgrad

no problem,i´m not critizing i just want to give you ideias so you could improve your mod,another thing,rohan needs more units,you also could improve some of other things in the expansion rise of the witch king,for example,i personaly think that you could put arnor in the game too,after all the expansion is about angmar and arnor,you could also put gil galad in the elves,durin in the dwarfs,isildur damrod and elendil in arnor,and improve some units in the game just like the rohirim,the tower guards,and other stuffs,don´t be bored man i would gladly help you making the mod because i´m a huge fan of the lord of the rings,i just wanna a help :p

As I said in the Idea topic, horse shields will be coming out in release three. If you want a bit of a master plan, here it is:

Release one: The mod itself. This will be the raw concept of the mod, all coded in. Released on 12-30-06
Release two: Bug Fix for Release one. PLANNED FOR RELEASE LATE JANUARY
Release three: Adds a bunch more stuff to release one, like horse shields, the extra beer upgrade and some other fun stuff. PLANNED FOR RELEASE MID FEBUARY TO EARLY MARCH.
Release four: There are two paths I can take for release four; Either Stage 2 (BFME I Bases) or put in two new factions. I have yet to decide EITHER WAY, IT WILL BE MANY MONTHS BEFORE THIS RELEASE.

Right now I am running a one man show, the only thing I need is ideas. Remember, I am trying to keep the BFME atmosphere around the mod!

yes,i know but some of my ideas are a way to make bfme 1 and 2 combine( as in they form your mod like add a new campign( dont know how to do with rotwk) But adding new heros is a good idea

The AI of Angmar does not work either ; then you should add some towers to the fortress buildplots; another thing is I expected the gondor spearmen to be like those in Return of the King (if you haven't seen the movie they look like gondor soldiers but they have pikes instead of swords oh and their pikes look more like those of rohan or rhudaur spearmen, not like those of the towerguards. Oh and Rohan Stables should be upgradable, Rohan horse archers should be available from lvl 2 stables. They have to be upgradable for faster building speed (and mb for the guard tower). Well looking forward to your applying these changes :p .

When using Create-A-Hero, you cannot add any heros to the Rohan faction. If you create a new hero, they cannot be added to it also.

When playing there is a hero called 'Create-A-Hero' which you can add, but if you create one, they are generic and have no abilities.

Just FYI for future stuff. :p

fingulfin can you answer me something i wanna know??ok here goes... i know i´m not in the right place to put this question but i realy need to know how to put horse shields him the rohirrim then after putting them shields i want to put them the horse shield upgrade,can you help me with this? :p

Listen guys, Fin is trying his best he is the only one working on the mod so please wait. about the ai the rohan ai IS not done. about the create a hero those files are hard coded i dont think you can edit them. and the horse shields ask around T3A, they will tell you how to do it.

I have no clue what is up here... The AI works fine for me, on any normal skirmish map. I don't know what would cause it not to work... As for the Gondor Soldiers, I made them different on purpose. They would be really hard to distinguish in a large scale battle from the normal soldiers if I had used the same skin. I'll think about making horse archers from LvL 2 Stables.

Read the Readme. At the very top I make a note of how CaHs ARENT use able with new factions. All the coders at T3A have tried to get it to work, but it appears as if it is hardcoded. I have looked in the game.dat, and I see how it is hardcoded in. There is nothing modders can do but abuse the arnor faction, which I am not willing to do (planning to use it in a future release).

As for the horse shields, post a topic in the main T3A BFME II Modding section. I know how to do it, but it is a pretty long process for someone new to modding. Mostly because of how EA made the models. Just be patient, it will be in release 3.

Think I will post the bugs I have found tomorrow. It's all about two A4 pages, and I've just tested Rohan and Gondor! - Anyways. The reason for this post: Create-a-hero can't be used ...
<robnkarla> has released his own mod at MeVault. Dunno how, but he/she made the Create-a-hero usable. Fin ... why don't you ask him/her how to do it?! It'd do it myself, but I don't have any clue about modding and so it'll be senseless.
Besides this:
As I said before, yesterday I've tested <robnkarla>'s Mod. It's good, really. But it is definetly not so well balanced as yours. Playing your mod is much more fun. The only two wishes I still have are: Please add Arnor and make Rohan and Arnor playable at WotR.

Hey there,

so this is the bug-list I've made while testing your (great) mod.
I will enlist them here, 'cause I don't have the time to arrange them and I still didn't get that e-mail address!

BUGS and suggestions:

PLEASE ADD ARNOR AS PLAYABLE FACTION!

Rohan:
- playing Rohan you can't use your own Create-a-hero, therefor you get an CaH without any sense
- within the builder/building list that wall-hub picture is still from Gondor
- Banner-wall-hub: builder/building pic is wrong (=invisible gate); banner part appears to be turned around the wrong way
- wall into cliff modell piece is gondor wall
- Rohan well: wrong pic - Can't you use this one from all the other Rohan-attempts
- Barracks: wrong picture
- Heroic statue: wrong picture
- Special Power "Building repair" without any effect
- Rohan archers (with or without fire-arrows) are horribly weak! Even Goblin archers are stronger!
- Archers: where is the difference between both
- Rohan peasants: Why double buidable (farms and barracks)
- Infatery (especially "Royal Guard") is build a bit too fast
- Royal Guard can't be chosen directly, after upgrading to Level 2 only from banner-carrier
- Dunedain from Inns can't be upgraded
- Ithilien Ranger should be buildable at the inns instead of Dunedain (more realistic)
- Special Power "Elven-Reinforcements": Better 3 instead of two?
- Special Power "Ents" - think there are quite a bit too much
- Towers are much too expensive!! (Gondor= 500, Rohan=1500?!)
- Towers only shoot enemies at the same level (height) they do not shoot from hills
- Towers do not anser to "shoot-order" - they only shoot automatically, it's not possible to aim a target
- Towers are either too small or sometimes right = Appearence falters; it's seldom the "Battle-Tower"
- Enemy can walk through Rohan wall
- Rohan wall still can be attacked by arrows (as wooded walls, it's of course possible, but only by fire-arrows, and then it should take quite some time!
- Fortress (=Golden Hall)-Extensions: only Hubs buildable
- Fortress Improvement "Helms-Horn" does not stop!
- wrong pictures:
- Palantir Picture for "general-archers", also Archery picture
Gondor:
- "general" spearmen should also wear a shield (as in the movies), Tower-Guards therefor not. Though I do like that "shield-wall"
- Display error spears
- "general" spearmen can't be chosen directly, only from banner-carrier (Level 2+)
- Tower Guards move much faster after forming "shield-wall", though they should be slower
- Tower Guard are either too strong, or therefor too cheap
- The "One Ring" sometime can't be brought to fortress - Soldiers ran into and out, into and out , aso
- Because there is a Rohan-faction I would edit Theoden, Eomer and Eowyn out of Gondor!

I gues this mod is dead as most people say they are going to make new ones and dont you said there would be a relesae two in January its march

i can log into the game, but as soon as i enter skrimish a screen comes up saying

my game works in the default mode and in first age mod but this message comes up in the build anywhere mod and in the elven alience beta mod. after i click debug, it says runtime error. please help me.
