This is a useless off-topic post, but it's called TIBERIUM, not Tiberian. No offense to you O-Bolt, but how hard is it to spell a word correctly for a game you so greatly like?

Back to topic: Why give Yuri an ore refinery? There would be no point, and (I think that) no one would use it if you can use the slave miners...

I believe that that is just a waste of a country special.

Back to topic now:
Do you plan to add several Yuri countries for all of these country specials(Like Ore Refinery)?

Yuri's Empire is split into four separate groups PsiCorps, BioCorps, GenomeCorps, and ShadowCorps.
They will each have country specials, but I don't think I'm going to an Ore Refinery use as one.

the idea of an ore refinery would balance the three sides as well as the refinery would ecromonic (better value for money- as i have bad spelling)

Well I the Miner itself has more armor and whenever a slave dies and the new one is made it will cost you $100 for the new slave to be made.

I didn't want to make it a super unit, but I did increase its firepower by a tiny bit.

Good cus when I played Yuri ( in the original ) I found I needed to bring a squad of Viri (plural of Virus) to protect my miners from being swamped by GGIs and even sometimes just plain GIs. Once the opponent got a good group together, all my slaves died and then they just started to kill the miner[s]... the gun couldn't take them out fast enuff.

Thats like saying "I always have to protect my chronominer because it can be pwnt by rhino's," you can take out a resource gatherer wheather its boring or not!
And you do need balence. It just isn't really balence if the playing fields level anyway because everyone has the same everything. And if there are different sides, keep them different!
Just wait till you play AYUAM; if you win with one side, then try the same tactics with another, you won't have a snowballs chance in hell of beating an easy... In RA2, I pick soviets or allies because I feel like using a snipe or deso, either way I play exactly the same and thats why its boring and I mod in the first place!

That's why I started to mod because I was even tired of the current mods. They all seemed to have the same thing and tactics. So I wanted to make a mod or each side is unique and where each country is unique with its own style of play. Also a slight unbalance is fun, thats what made RA1 so enjoyable.

RA was sorta balenced, it was just Strength vs Weakness rather than Rock/Paper/Scissors. So again, fun because they were different.

i think so, well as people hav mentioned above that their slaves totally got owned by snipers and other anti-infantry units totally crippling the yuri army funds. and once the miner is destroyed it's gone, but if an soviet or allied miner is destroyed and having limited funds, sell the refinery (that's if you hav a least $1000) and rebuild a refinery adding a free miner. but the worst is when the enemy attacks the miner easily. i hated the slave miners as they got destroyed easily and provided free infantry to your enemy (though they were weak in comparison)

yeah but if you dont keep a look on it you lose it when entering enemy infested terrerty and gets the s**t blown into it. but i guess the same impiles to the war/chrono miner

how about you have both, you get it so the slave miner is exactally that, a miner, make it be able to dock in a refinery like the other miners,

so you build a yuri refinery, comes with free slave miner(like other teams refinerys) the slave miner gose to the ore field deploys, the slaves come out and fill up the miner (the miner could carry double the amount of other teams miners, so to squares instead of 5) then when miner is filled it undeploys and docks in the refinery, for docking you dont even have to make a new animation, you could just make it deploy in the refinery bit, or even deploys next to refinery and slaves load the ore off from the miner to the refinery,

but whatever you want, :)

Thats a new idea, but I think I'm just going to stay with Slave Miner. The reason I'm staying with the Slave Miner is because something OmegaBolt wrote in a different Slave Miner or Ore Refinery poll. It was something like.

The Slave Miner should stay because it makes Yuri different, also it is a weakness, but a cool one.

also your gona stay with slave miner cause its easyer right? lol

heck i dont even know if my idea is posible, but i thought i would share it cause i thought it was cool.

anyway one thing i think (maybe, but in not really sure on the idea), is the give the slave miner an air wepon, not enough to stop it from getting attacked, but just to give you the satifaction of atleast killing 1 of their planes befor it gets you(or damage it a bit) but ill let you decide on that, im not really sure
