Aren't most of the heroes cheap already, though?

And why no campaign, Lauri? I know you said no in the past, but you already know I like to know things... you probably figured I'd ask :crazed:. I'm guessing it's not because of skill.

Yeah, heroes doesn't really cost to much, then again, not all are balanced with their strength :crazed:

For off, let me clarify;
1) I would LOVE to have a campaign, it would really highlight the purpose of the mod!
2) It would take forever to get done, especially since every unit, power and hero would or should have to be complete, for every faction...
3) That would mean it would have to be started on AFTER the final version of the mod..
4) I'm not a mapper, but even though I know my part of Worldbuilder and scripts, and could have easily learned to make maps fast, it would have required much of my attention, to much attention..
5) Everything would have to have been planned to the detail in what would happen in every map, for the entire campaign..

Well, that's about it... It could have been cool to start on a campaign though, and get a couple of maps done, plus some "standard" maps, but yeah... We'll see.. It's always nice to work in Worldbuilder every now and then, so maybe... unlikely, but maybe :)

edit: one thing I thought about a long time ago though, was to "start" on the good campaign, and let it be just like the standard, except you wouldn't be starting in Moria, and not playing in Lothlorien... Just the standard campaign, in a way, just with the new stuff... Then again, that would require Rohan's stuff done, which it ain't :)

I, like many others, don't care if it takes 5 seconds or 5 years, I'm willing to wait for a good mod. Anyways, slow and stead wins the race. If you decided to do a campaign on it, just focus on one or 2 small things a day.

You may not care, but I'm not willing to work on this mod for another five years... You'll have to take that into your prayers :thumbsupsmiley:

I'm just tell you that you are denying taking your mod above and beyond all that have been created, perhaps rivaling or surpassing TEA. A campaign is a big thing for a lot of us, y'know? It doesn't necessarily have to be long. It could be only 6-12 missions long or something like that.

Maybe he doesn't care about ''taking his mod above and beyond all''.

You are taking this way too seriously.

I don't really have and desire for surpassing the greatest mod ever made for BFME... Sorry :)

As I've said, I'd love a campaign, but doubt I'll have the will to work on it after the mod's done ;) And if it never get's beyond BETA stage, then it'll most certainly never get done :p

Personally, I'll be pleased with just skirmish. This is one of those truly original in concept mods, and Lauri has done well in creating it. :) A campaign would be awesome, but it's okay if Lauri just doesn't want to do it.

Of course, if Lauri and Matias are okay with it, then somebody else could come along and do it instead of Lauri. :p

The campaign with just the new factions? That would be... AWESOME.

I very much approve. ;)

But seriously. That would be fun. haha.

I'd go with 2d3, 3d6, 1/2d7, 1d10, 14d12, 8d20, 13 quarters, and a groundhog.

I'm not sure if you'll need all that, but if you figured out a system from it, it would be the greatest in the world.

Are you making this mod anymore, or are you simply too busy with other projects? :thumbsupsmiley:

I do believe that he posted somewhere a few months ago that he was puting the mod into a state of dormancy but not killing it or something to that effect.
