That would be cool, though it might lead to a tunnel system for Isengard, which I don't like.

I was told that Nazgul is thinking of removing the Eagles from the Good Factions (except Gwahir for Lothlorien) and Fellbeasts for Isengard.

If it does happen, (which in my opinion shouldn't), Isengard will have very few heroes. Perhaps, one of the new heroes could be Wulf. I read on Tolkien wiki, that he was the leader of the Dunlendings. Because in the TT, Saruman uses the Wild men to attack the farms of Rohan.

Yes, Wulf was the leader of the Dunlendings... Was...
And he's been dead longer than Thorin, and well... Quite some time actually

Still though, any Dunlending hero could work, and I wouldn't mind if that name was used, as long as it isn't saying that it's the same Wulf

Really?

Well, I've just found a guy called Harimda the Harsh. Apparently, he was played by Terrence Branning in the TT extended edition as the leader of the Dunlendings and swore an oath to Saruman. Read this:

Hi again all!

I think some of the hero portraits could be improved so they have the parchment look.

I've done this, just to show you what I mean. It's my first 'mod' (ever) and I thought it came out pretty ok.

Here is my Ugluk portrait..

What do you think? Is it good for a first try?

If your looking to discuss your work, you should go post it in the showcase forum. This is for SEE discussion, and you are getting off topic.

G'day to all

I had a thought about the bomb carriers for the isenguard faction. These little guys can be seen a mile away and usually give the enemy the perfect opportunity to blow up your advancing armies before they reach them. The idea of giving this unit a stealth ability seemed way too much but what if the ability only worked when the unit was surronded by other urik's? And of course once the bomb was planted the bomb itself would be visible. Not sure how possible this is but worth a mention :p

G'day to all. . . .again :p

I had a further idea to this original one above which might be worth a mention. The ladder carriers. If they had this ability as well that would make for some interesting gameplay. If the player who was occupying helms deep didn't see any ladder carriers until they started to rise up against the walls it would certainly make the game interesting haha

No chance of returning....Zero chance of surviving....Well!? When do we get started?

Both ladder and mines will need scripting. I haven't found a way to code the behavior successfully. Besides, right now at least the ladder (and the Mordor siege tower) only have a real use on citadel maps. Sad, i know, but we'll see... :thumbsupsmiley:

G'day sul

No worries mate. I thought this idea would be a very low priority anyway :thumbsupsmiley: But I usually forget these ideas if I don't write them down somewhere :D The joys of getting older I guess ;)

But to get back to your idea in general: If Eowyn can disappear among Rohirrim and Peasants (on pressing the 'disguise' button), mines or ladders could do it automatically. It would not be hard to code, couple of hours to check the relevant pieces, adjust them and put them in the mines/ladders and all uruk units. Only question is if we really want that. :thumbsupsmiley:

I'll leave that up to you guys to decide. I think it will definatley make a difference to the way people play with and against Isenguard. So it's probably a choice that needs to be thought about a bit before making. :thumbsupsmiley: It might have some bad effects in game that I'm not thinking of.

i just played isengard today, and im wondering why is there a limit to how many berserkers one can recruit? maybe you should make them more expensive, longer time to recruit and remove the recruit limit. maybe increase the health per berserkers too.

and berserkers should be able to benefit from the upgrades too.

How do you stop Mordor with Isen? I got so totally owned when they started bringing out Mumakil and then Grond I was like omg lol. Is it possible or do we gotta take an approach to just keep constant pressure?

As Nazgûl has said a lot of times, balance has yet to be done. I think all factions will have upgradable walls.

In the actual beta 4.5, I guess you'd need a huge amount of giants crossbows (sorry, I don't know the right name) behind a double line of battle towers.

I have never ever during the production of SEE, tested or in any way balanced the game as Evil vs Evil or Good vs Good. SEE is meant to be playes as Good vs Evil (or Evil vs Good) :p

Yea I wasn't really questioning the balance because I know more betas are coming out. All i was saying is it possible for Isen to beat Mordor one one one?

I have no idea as I never play that way =p

About Berserkers: they're limited cause they are a strong Elite unit. So are Noldor Veterans, Royal Guard, Khazad Guard and so on...
